Learning that Trinidad will playing a friendly against India soon.

Why is that a WTMC? we play India all the time!

Well this is no ordinary match. On 24 August, there will be a football match, between the two teams, not cricket

Yup, a FIFA international friendly against a team that has already been knocked out of World Cup qualifying, when we have qualifiers coming up next month.

- My UPS dying with style:
the thing blows, literally leaving a hole in the side of it - right in the middle of my gaming session of TF2. The initial series of explosions literally moves the UPS away from the wall.
I'd have never guessed that the intermittent burning smell I was getting earlier in the day was the UPS... Well, it smell up the whole living room after.

Now might be a good time to seriously consider designing my "tech bedroom"...

- a family member calls me at almost midnight cause he was watching porn and whatever site he was on change the homepage. See me in half-sleep trying to talk him through removing the malware before the wife reaches home....

So far it seems so. Only the Speakers and printer left to test. Had to move my gaming rig to a friend's house in the interim.
UPS apparently did its job well, sacrificing itself to save the plethora of stuff I had plugged into it. APC ftw! Will have to scavenge now to buy a replacement... maybe 1000VA

Only thing of note was the unusual amount of silverfish that crawled away from it when I opened the battery compartment...

Oh well, while I DO have another UPS than I can put to use immediately, my mother reminded me of the potential dangers of having a UPS and a fridge plugged into the same outlet (nowhere to plug it, and it was working fine for the last decade). So my mission now is to convert my bedroom into a tech-bedroom....

If/when that is done, it will be the last my mom sees of me *snicker*...
