Since when has GATT become a Dictatorship Communist Forum where freedom of speech is not allowed, it's a FORUM for crying out loud....If people have opinions, they should have the right to share, as long as it does not insult anyone in anyway. This goes back to my post that I tried to make before a certain thread was LOCKED last night in which Grim himself had his opinions on a certain subject only to see that it was LOCKED by an Admin. There were people posting on there sharing their views on the topic raised and it was LOCKED. That made me go WTMC! As I spent time writing my Opinion on the topic only to get the LOCKED message on said thread. Good going DEMOCRACY! Pfft!!

All righty. Time to clear the air here.

That thread that got deleted was a very touchy subject on religion. With all of the talk about the crusades, and Muslims and Christians in particular, there were some things over there touched upon that was bound to offend somebody.

And, it did.

When I logged on, I checked out my Inbox, and there were quite a few complaints about the thread being offensive. As such, I checked it out, and decided that it definitely wasn't going to go anywhere good.

Take note that this isn't about stifling people's opinions, but religious topics in general are discouraged on the whole on not just this forum, but a whole lot of them. You never know who is bound to be 'offended' by what, and, these days, you really don't know what'll happen. At the least, some severe arguments will definitely fly when somebody with a differing opinion comes in (and yes, I saw that beginning to happen in said thread) and, at the most.....well, let's just say that it caused the FBI to explode all over the place. And we don't need that happening here.

Oh, and on a side note, I had originally just locked the thread and left it there with a post saying why I had it locked, but deleted it in the end when one of the mods decided to continue the discussion even when it was closed off. I typically do that so that people would know that I don't remove threads with telling them a reason. It was on since last night and up to 10 this morning, so, if you didn't see it by then, I'm sorry, but that's just your tough luck that you missed it and assumed otherwise.

So, that's the end of that. None of this "OH GAWD A MOD WAS OFFENDED AND HE NUKED MY THREAD FOR THAT!!!" was involved, it's a simple matter of a topic matter being posted that a LOT of people will not touch with a ten foot pole.

Ok, so you locked it and a Mod still replied to continue, some Mod that must be. Thanks for clearing that part up for me New_Era_Outlaw, but still one of my posts in this topic was deleted as well. It had nothing in it that would have angered anyone except someone with power who disliked what I said. It was something along the lines of "WTMC @ Where did my Crusades topic go?!". I don't see anything wrong with that and maybe you wouldn't be able to answer this one because you didn't see it, but that really didn't have any reason to be deleted. After all, according to the topic this is about posting things that make you go "WTMC" and that was one of them for me.

- the size of the booty on a midget woman I saw today walking past the Indian Embassy in POS. Down to the police officer in his squad car parked opposite the embassy had to gape!

sigh...when you looking at a new system for your dad, localy you manage to run into a nice HP desktop coming with 19" wide screen and the like...it running vista home premium...sigh...

now most of you might be gong, 'vista! bah hum bug'

but that is not the problem, the problem is this, the printer we use isn't supported in vista not even with a generic driver (thank god sister's laptop have it that is how i know) so i have to tell my father that his expensive ass HP printer incompatible with micro-bullsit-soft...steups...and the thing is if i go to install XP it will be hell tuh ketch fuh drivers...

this is real bull, STEUPS

anyone here know of a home brew driver that'll work?

well we'd need to know the models of both computer and printer. I am sure it have XP drivers for that system and HP should have them on their website I just hope you have DSL...

Ok this is more a WHY than a WTMC.
Why we Trini people so follow fashion that we go take the idiotic street party called "Dutty Friday" or "Passa Passa" and make it we own. Ah blasted fed up of hearing about Passa Passa dance and Dutty Friday parties on the radio.

Now this is just my opinion so doh take nothing by it but DAMN MAN yuh cyah find nothing better to do STEUPS.
On another note WTMC when a man order $300us in books through you and because he has not gotten any yet he saying that you trying to rob him. Now mind you that is about a week pass since he give me the money and some of the books out of stock on amazon and i had the (Group my items into as few shipments as possible) option selected and no matter how much i try to explain to him he still insist that i trying to rob him.

9650 deskjet, and i cant remember the pc model ill find it though, the 9650 just saying that it unsupported in vista, both 32 and 64, ill look it up again but the thing is ive seen some strange sh1t in newer computers, stuff that manufactures website (e.g. ati) have supported under XP, you install XP and download said drivers begin to install said drivers when...BLAM...it cnat find any suitable devices? :S ? WTMC??!!?? far as i can tell they prob wired the hardware to only accept vista drivers or sum, i heard of homebrew drivers so i was wondering if it have any like that for hp...that is what i worried bout,it happen before if it happen again is sh1t street!

passa passa i a block party kinda thing...originated in Jamaica and spread throughtout trinidad now.........it does hav weekly passa passa in d beetham on friday...and other places.........

Did you actually order the available books? Print page(s) showing order status and the availabilty of said books and give them to him.... If all else fails, refund him for what books you ent get yet. He ent worth the trouble. I do hope you told him in advance it would take up to 2 weeks for books to arrive (unless you have amazon prime service). If if he go by police... just make sure they have an internet connection and carry with you a print out of those same pages..

Reminds me of a one time customer I had this year. Sold her a PSU... pc still ent work so I offered to take PSU back to my office to test PSU for her... now I had other customers to see... TWO HOURS later she calls me pissing mad because I ent call her back to give her an update yet... I literally had to explain that she is not the only customer I have to see and I have other appointments before I return to office. (I get to find out weeks later that she even call my home that same day telling my mom that I bring used parts - she lucky I ent cuss she arse, but she living near Abu Bakr wife or something)

It end up being the motherboard and RAM was bad (two burn marks on RAM was a sure clue of such)
