not "a" man... "the" man who start this thread, eh Pablo! LOL

when you accidentally delete all of a customer's data in an attempt to back it up using Norton Ghost. Drives were same size, same brand (WD) and I thought I had the jumper settings correct....

Now since 8pm last night I have been trying program after program to try to recover this guy's data.... so far no success at all. it seems that Ghost does a very good job of destroying data.

weyyyy that is pressure, personally i doh ever use anything by synmantec (lets just say one to many times nortons fail, bad)

how exactly the data destroyed, like shred destroyed? partition gone destroyed? or format destroyed?

SHRED destroyed.... I have to tell the customer I lost all his data.

Error is basically mine... Ghost did its job perfectly imaging from one drive to the other. I failed to properly ensure the I was imaging from customer's drive to mine instead of mine to the customers as what actually happened.

Nah. If Norton Ghost overwrite the partition, with actual data from another drive,
then the original data as good as gone.
