I don't see why the Gov't should even bailout CLICO or HCU investors. Investment is a risk, and that should be understood before investing monies. Don't know why taxpayers should have to pay for investments made in a private institution.

Credit unions are largely savings mechanisms and Clico, well sure insurance is a RISK, thats why I have it, so when I get sick and have to go see the doctors... you get the picture. Though it's crap that the government is in the position where they are doing what they are, I don't see why ppl should have to suffer because some over paid @$$wipes with poor decision making skills stole their money.
I am not saying the govenrment should not NAIL the @$$es of the management of clico to a wall on frederick st., but I am saying that I support their decision to help.

So question, if tomorrow the bank your savings are in, go belly up and say HARD luck we won't give you a penny, would you 'suck it up' and limp off without a fuss?

But at Fatima... The computers in the labs are at least 5 years old and now starting to have motherboards fail at will..

I'm forced to agree with Larutus and rb on the Clico issue.  In fact, I'll go further and
say that not ONE RED CENT of taxpayers money should be used in ANY bailout.

Investment is risk, plain and simple...and Clico investors accepted that risk
wholeheartedly when they jumped aboard with their  money...not taxpayers'  money.

So now, why should taxpayers'  money now be used to 'negate' that risk?

First off, clico din "collapse" somebody THEIF d money, secondly, i dont know where d money coming from, Manning know what he was doing. Thirdly, what alyuh think will happen, if d government DONT bail it out? what alyuh think cause d recession?

When men start pullin dey money out of all dem banks, and hiding it under dey bed, alyuh think d country coudl survive?

Dat is why, d "smarter" countires, like america and england, bailing out them banks, because wihtout said investors, economy will collapse, Ppl who invest dey money, doing d country a favor. And it is better money spent, to stabilize d economy of a country, dan give dumb form 1 students who going to waste it, laptops to play pacman.


If d government not smart enough, to resolve this thing in ah satisfiable manner to d investors, same investors, who have money elsewhere, like unitrust, etc etc, will suddenly start pullin it out. and den alyuh go see pressure.

It din happen so. d Government made d decision, to seize clico and freeze all assets, and issue all investors "IOUs", if dat shit is not illegal i dont know what is. So when i say somebody theif d money, is not juss 1 man i talking bout.

Which is why it is now necessary for the government to create a law, preventing investors from taking legal action. Open alyuh eyes ppl, wake up and smell d coffee.

I didnt believe it till the guy gave it to me and i plugged it in and it did show up as 500GB in My Computer.

Further research says though that no such authentic drives exist. The drive are formatted in exfat files system and cant format as NTFS, not will they work in XP or win 2000 PCs

It will corrupt files stored beyond its "true" capacity.
