WTMC @ me not being able to make a decent smoke effect in flash 8


can anyone help on this one??? so far i'm able to make the vector look like smoke and go up but i cant make it twirl. I mean if i just needed a still pic i could do it in illustrator but flash is a hole different story... I'M FRUSTRATED!!!!

Not very adept at flash 8.. but isn't there a 'tween' feature in it?
u're supposed to be able to create a frame with the initial position of the image,
then create the position it's supposed to end up in about a few frames later.
if u right click the frame at the end and select tween, the program creates the frames in "between" the initial and the final frame.

again, i'm not sure if that's how you do it in flash 8, but that's how it's supposed to work.

All u have to do is put your smoke image first.
then make a frame with the image rotated a bit and  put it about 5 or 10 or 15 frames later, and utilize the tween option for it to create the frames in between..

Now don't get me wrong. It was a a grave tragedy and my condolences to the victims, but it getting a bit annoying now. In other countries people get bombed DAILY. and everyone still goes about their day to day business. It so bad that to hold a tribute for the dead person could land them being victims of another bomb.

on another forum, a guy selling a "gaming" PC and when challenged over the fact that he using an onboard video card, this is his response:

please note i did not use the term "integrated" when i advertised the pc, i said that it is 512mb onboard. meaning that it supports 512mb games when you have at least 1gb of ram. and the board itself has a 6200-LE INTEGRATED graphics card.. ok my friends... so if you hating on my pc then [this was censored due to obscene language]. peace!!!

Last time I checked, the term "integrated graphics" has the same interpretation "onboard graphics": the video card is permanently soldered on to the motherboard. 

And as if that wasn't bad enough I am of the impression the said guy apparently decide he wasn't gonna use "onboard GF6200" and put in a "integrated" GF7200 PCI-E video card 

I'm still trying to figure out what he means by "512MB games"...

Still can't believe he is a "PC techncian"!!
