1. Ryu - Victory means nothing. The fight is everything. Ahh ... That is a bad man. Simplicity in style, execution and belief.

2. Scorpion - Get over here. That move was just bad the first time you see it. The guy had a coolness about him. Well, he is a ninja so that in itself is something. Plus, I am a Scorpio so I have a bias.

3. Jago - My next ninja from Killer Instinct. When he fly across the screen with a kick, beat up a guy and pull out the sword for a couple lash you know it on. The best was the ultimate combo ... He sit down, meditate and drop a big car on the guy. Priceless.

4. Kasumi - De best DOA gyal out. If you eh see the intro from DOA Ultimate, you should. It give her a more interesting back-story. Plus, she have de best outfits and she is a ninja to boot.

5. Spawn - I happened to get Soul Calibur II for Xbox. I wanted to get the Gamecube version for Link, but Spawn is real bad too. De best is de way he does spin up that big axe he have. It woulda be more cool with the cape but I guess is too much to animate.

6. Spider-Man - My personal favorite, next to Ryu, in the Marvel vs Capcom series. He just crazy fast. A combination of him and Ryu is deadly. De voice is perfect too. Then, when he win he go pull out de camera and take a picture. Classic.

7. Lei Wulong - Now tell me the first time you see my boy start with de different styles you didn't get on like de first time you see The Matrix. I was never really good with him but my brother real study all de moves and could switch like nobody business.

Favorite fighting game characters, eh? I think I might have a few....

1) Baraka (MK2, MK Deception)- I've always liked Baraka from day one. Blade Fury, I think, was one of the moves that became the clincher for me. He was practically the reason I bought Deception in the first place.

2) Noob-Smoke (MK Deception)- The tag team idea was just brilliant, I think. On top of that, the sheer b*****t you can get away with in the game with these characters just makes me laugh. Like, all of the time.

3) Kabal (MK 3, MK Deception) - This guy was freaking in-SANE in MK3, and practically outclassed every other character with just how much damage he did in combos. He was one of my most frequent picks in MK3 next to Sub-Zero. I learned how to play with him in Deception just for being so awesome in 3, even if he doesn't have the insanely high damage combos he did back then.

4)Wolverine (Marvel Superheroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom) - Seriously, who doesn't? Basically, I think my liking of Wolverine in the games stems from him being my favorite X-man in the comics. On top of that....did you see just how much crap he can get away with in the games he was in? Especially with Berserker Charge active? Just....Jesus CHRIST.

5) Omega Red (MSH vs SF, MvC2, COTA)- He didn't start out so hot with me, but once I learned how to use those coils, he became a frequently used character by me. I mean, they can just grab you out of anything. A-KNEE-THYNG.

6) Mega Man, Roll, Tron Bonne and Servbot (MvC1 and 2)- If you don't know why they are listed here, you've been under a rock. A rather BIG rock.

7) Kazuya Mishima (Tekken 4 and 5)- A pretty simple character to pick up, and screams bada$$ all over. What isn't there to like about him?

Asuka Kazama (Tekken 5) - She's purty. And she has one sweet pair of boo.....ts. Yeah. Her kicks are awesome, uh, yeah, sure. That's why I like her-MOVING ON

9) Julia Chang (Tekken 4 and 5) - I don't know about you, but she can polish my pistols any da-HEY! MIND YO' DAMN BUSINESS. 

10) Chun-Li (Street Fighter 2 Turbo and 3rd Strike) - You know, I'd be lying if I didn't say I didn't have a soft spot for Chun-Li (as a matter of fact, I think I'd be lying if I said that most guys in general didn't have a soft spot for Chun-Li.) I hated her at first in 3rd Strike, but then I realised how much of an annoying turtle game you can play with her. Which is quite fun, I might add. Yuup. And you just have to LOVE what happens when you hit pause at the right time when you hold forward and Fierce Kic-

11) Reptile - Next to Baraka, Reptile was a very cool character with me. I think the MKDA version of him was the best, because of the mind games you could play with Hung Gar and Lizard Ball. And the whole lizard thing was something new, to boot. I hear people have done some pretty broken things with Reptile in UMK3, though, but I don't use him at all in the game due to the sheer difficulty of the CPU against him.


That's basically it.

P.S.: By the way, going through this thread, I couldn't help but wonder...shouldn't there be better reasons for liking a character other than 'He reeeeeal bad!'? There has just got to be more depth to it than that....

Iori Yagami
2 Words....MAIDEN MASHER, the amount of people feared me because of this move when I used Iori back in the days of SNS console sweats was ridiculous. Back in 2002 when I joined GATT, Iori was my poster boy. I will never forget the day I was fighting PoeticFighter in SNS in KOF99 and we both did our supers at the same time and Iori stopped right infront of Ralf and collected a Galactica Phantom.  Kyo is good but Iori is just that much better

Eddie/Zato 1 (GGXX)
Eddie is one of my choices because of one thing mainly, he is in some ways 2 characters. His overall design leaves much to be desired but who cares. He isn't the easiest of characters to use due to the fact that using him essentially  requires that you control 2 characters at once, but once you get his stuff down, you WILL be unstoppable. Take that you Sol loving n00bs ( yes i called you n00bs)

Magneto
Seriously who wouldn't love to beast on people with this man. He is simply god tier, triangle jumping, infinites , resets you name it. Magneto kills you quickly and efficiently. Some advice for persons who never played a Magneto player ....LEARN TO BLOCK AND RUN.

Ryu
I wasn't into Street Fighter during the hyper fighting days so I'll ignore that period. Basically I started SF with SFA and SFA2. I loved Ryu in A2 because of his unblockable low custom combo aka the Valle CC. Alpha 3 was pretty much a dud for me but now that I'm getting into it, Ryu is my main character in A-ISM for now, going to switch to V-ISM as soon as I get the absolute basics down (WEAK X-Ryu HERE BRING). In 3rd Strike I use him as a secondary character with SA3 (Denjin Hadouken), got some good wins over the puerto ricans with him, shoulda used him instead of Makoto when it counted.

Makoto
3 words....FULL STUN COMBO. I just love using Makoto because of the mind game thing. She has some pretty damaging combos which lead to most times FULL STUN. She's been a fav of mine ever since I saw the SBO 2002 finals of 3S where this japanese guy basically ran over an entire tournament using Makoto.

Holy Order Sol
Not to be confused with that n00b friendly character. Holy Order Sol is a much weaker version and  different character  from the original Sol. Definately not easy to win with him as his moves and combos do next to NO damage ( and to think I hate Chipp for the same reason) which is why I like using him , plus he looks badass with Ky's costume.

Geese Howard
Geese is a badass nuff said ...how many people you know that use Geese (besides me anyway)?

Kazuya Mishima/ Steve Fox
I just love doing EWGF all day / I'm not much of a tekken person but I like using Steve when I actually do play.

Oswald (KOF XI)
Oswald is badass...I just like using him...unblockable setups pwn

Duck King
Man I loved using Duck back in Fatal Fury Special and now he's my starting character in my KOF XI team (Duck, Iori, [Ash or Oswald])

Zasalamel
Even though I'm not much of a SC person I did enjoy using Zas in SC3, just loved the character design and the weapon.

Can't play with her so well in CVS2 but she is the starting character on my team most of the time ( C or N - Hibiki/Cammy/Sagat)

Sergei Dragonov - Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection
good grable attacks, i like him because he seems to be sort've based of of Snake in mgs3, with alot CQC attacks and a real powerful 10 combo (memorized like my own birthday)

Ryu - Street Fighter II
he's the first fighter i ever chose in the arcade, and my skills with him is probably the best with ken just being 1 step behind him

Ken -  Street Fighter II
Fast on his feet, pull off my combos alot easier than i can do with Ryu

Paul - Tekken 1-5
first tekken character that i memorized all the movies of (also carries my first name) beat so many men in the arcade with him in not even funny. (if anyone have TDR on the psp try to find my ghost you'll see what i mean)

Subzero - Mortal Kombat
always liked him a lil more than scorpion. rather freeze a guy it gets him more pissed off and loses his focus in the game

Mia - KOF
Obvious reasons, other than that also ligght on her feet.

Yoshimitsu - tekken
another great character, get ppl pissed when there is distance between the two of us and instead of running straight at them i just do that meditation thing i regain lost hea;th .

Fulgore - The poster boy for the Killer Instinct series. He was the last guy you face before the final boss, in both games I think. My boy could teleport and if you had real timing, you could reflect fireballs back at somebody. The best was he ultimate combo: He transform into what you could only call a BFG (like in Doom) and leggo about a hundred bullets in the guy unfortunate enough to be standing there.

Personality wise, my favorite is Havik from MK:Deception.
The guy practically exists to wreak havoc. Heck, that's his freaking name.
On top of that, I think he's pretty funny and freaky at the same time. It's a shame Midway didn't make his character more comedic, because he has potential.

Ha, I eh mention Smash Bros. cause some men wouldn't count it as a fighting game. My guy is Pikachu when I play. You go never hear people cuss a Pokemon like when they playing against me. De boy faster than anybody and de lightning attacks real nice. Plus, you does just feel like something wrong when de rat win.
