Need Help with 360 and halo 2 with live

I am trying to play halo 2 with my 360 on xbox live and it is not working, it is telling me that they have some important message for me in account management and then when i go there it tellin me bout xbox live gold memberships to buy and i am already on xbox live gold(was playin ghost recon )could someone help

Make sure you sign into live with your Gamertag and Password from your original Xbox. Did you log into your 360 with CowSquad? Then you should be fine. Once you put Halo 2 in, just log in again.
