Hey, whoever voted after Italy won. You royally SUCK. Voting -locked-.

Congrats to Italy, though they lost a little respect from me at first when they pulled the old 'Whoopsie...I am EVER so sorry' tactic on France, which led to the penalty kick that scored the first goal for them. Other than that, I was pretty much behind Italy, even though France put up a good fight to the end.

But let's be real.
Italy ninja'd nobody to win, really.
It all came down to France flubbing the goal in the tiebreaker kick-off, and Italy managing to pull off a perfect score in the end. Other than that, both sides played very well, I must say.

One thing, though....if I ever find out who organises the shows before the big game, they have a date with my shotgun. That performance made me want to hurl endless Julie mango at my screen.
It could be that I, like a few other people, wanted to sit down and watch man kick ball, and not confine myself to watching a bunch of morons dance around and waste 15 minutes of my existence where I could have been watching the game instead.
But meh, that's just me. Always nitpicking about something, somehow.

Well, that's pretty much it.

secondly, i hope yu were watching that match very closely neo, cause then yu would have seen from the replay, that the italian defender DIDNT touch the frenchie that got the penalty.

This caused alot alot alot of arguament  but its true, every angle, every replay after showed that the italian didnt touch him so it should not have been a penatly.

What De MC happen to Zidane??

This is the second time I see such nonsense in a world cup. Remember the Argentina starboy that headbutt a man last world cup? red card ihmc.

Now Zidane come and pull the same stunt in the world cup final no less. Cameras flashin every which way. STEUPS.

And like he accustom. Read this:

"Zidane is one of the football icons of his generation and is known to be modest, quiet and admittedly shy. However, Zidane has occasionally shown a quick temper on the pitch. One such display occurred in a 2000/2001 Champions League match between Juventus Turin and Hamburger SV, in which Zidane headbutted Jochen Kientz; he received a red card for this action. He also received a red card in the 1998 World Cup for stamping on a Saudi player."

1D10T! Cuss the man, tell him bout his mother...but don't HEAD BUTT him for ALL to SEE.

Also, yuh heading to penalties....why take out Henry? Your #1 goal scorer????

Fitting that the man who came on for Henry would go on to MISS the penalty that cost them the world cup.

Even with a minor injury, I'm sure Henry would have put that ball into the damn net instead of the cross bar.

Serious piece of bunglin by Zidane and France.

Not that I'm a big fan of the french side but it was a shame to see them lose after out playing Italy the whole game.

Congrats to the Azzuri.

Easy. Zidane was being an arrogant moron, and decided that he can play badder than everybody else.

Of course, we all know where THAT got him.
And I'm sure France is kicking the bejesus out of him all the way on the plane trip home.

he CAN play better than MOST everyone. if it IS one person who is cocky its Henry. But that is ok, i mean its HENRY..he could do wtf he want, the man is a boss. Actually Zidane was up for the golden boot award, best player of the World Cup. He played well, he played fairly, he SCHOOLED Brasil. BRILLIANT player and he PROVED THAT. What the h3ll happened with that headbutt had even my French friends watching the match with me in awe. They are very dissapointed in him for that. but DEFFINITELY not arrogance

When I saw that I was like WTF??? de man cuss him bout he mudda or something? that was like wow... or maybe he's just paying the devil for selling his soul to win the last worldcup in 1998??? who knows... maybe de man WANTED to go down in infamy? until an official press release by de man we go never know, and even then it might just be some speech made up by his lawyers... it could also be frustration? maybe france paid off italy and were stabbed in the back when italy didn't throw the match? maybe Italy paid Zidane to throw the match and he had a last minute attack of conscience but needed a way to throw without it being obvious throughout the match? who knows, I am sure there are enough conspiracy theories out there to last a while, but imho this world cup seemed very RIGGED. Many new comers (read: NON European teams) got REALLY raw deals (read: Australia, Ghana). Imagine FIFA said they not going to use Computers or anything to that effect as a 4th ref becuase they think it's not up to standard... I wonder what those refs in Wimbeldon, US Open, French Open, Australia Open think about a comment like that considering they've been using computer analysis to check for when the ball goes out of the boundaries for at least wha...3 yrs now? I see that as just wanting to MAKE SURE you can FIX a game, but thats just me.

To be honest, though...Zidane has literally made himself (in)famous through his actions.
We'll definitely be talking about him for quite a while.
It's too bad that when we do talk about him, we'll always refer to him as 'the guy who headbutted that other guy'. He must be feeling like a heel right now, to be honest.

Crouch: I pulled Sancho's locks
Monday, July 10 2006
Nesday News

ENGLAND forward Peter Crouch has made a confession in the British
press that he did tug the dreadlocks of Trinidad and Tobago's Brent
Sancho to score the crucial first goal for his team in the World Cup
match in Nuremberg, Germany on June 15.

In an interview with journalist Rob Draper of the Mail yesterday, the
six-foot seven-inch tall Crouch made the confession.

The article under the headline "Oh well, at least Crouch will be
strutting his stuff again" on pages four and five stated:

"Crouch also confesses that his breakthrough goal against Trinidad
was lucky to be allowed. The striker was seen to tug the dreadlocks
of defender Brent Sancho as he climbed to head the opener in
England's 2-0 win."

The article quoted Crouch as saying "Yeah, I did it but I honestly
didn't realise until after the game. It must have been instinctive.
When I watched German TV that night, though, I knew. They constantly
repeated it."

It appears that the incident will be on the sports pages of the
British press on a regular basis similar to the Diego Maradona
incident when the Argentina player handled the ball to score a
crucial goal against England in a quarter-final encounter in the 1986
World Cup tournament in Mexico.

England were knocked out of the tournament after the controversial
goal which is often referred to as the "Hand of God" goal. In the
same newspaper an article by Patrick Collins, Chief Sports Writer in
Berlin for the Mail yesterday wrote under the headline "Cheats? Talk
to Shearer and Lineker."

Collins was reviewing comments by the two ex-England players
concerning the England/Portugal match.

Collins wrote: "Incidentally, we haven't mentioned England's match
with Trinidad and Tobago, the one in which Peter Crouch headed the
crucial first goal after yanking aside the dreadlocks of defender
Brent Sancho.

"I don't recall Shearer and Lineker mentioning that piece of
cheating, either. Probably slipped their minds."

Trinidad and Tobago continue to get good reviews from the British
press and football fans for their performance in the three match in
their debut at the World Cup Finals in Germany.

zidane always had a bad history, wen dey win d world cup in 98 he did get sendoff in one of d earlier games
honestly i doh tink either of dem teams did deserve to be in d final, d type of football dem play throughout d tournament didnt make dem worthy to b champs- italy dive dey way past australia and france barely make it out an "easy" group and had to score a soft penalty and den stay in dey own half against portugal
portugal and germany were more deservin i thought because of their positive football throughout, neither of dem play any kinda ugly game, dem was lookin to score right thru
small ting tho, next time wen trinidad make a semi final i go be satisfied
