Yep EVGA gone mad jed...

Their new 7900GT Card (once overclocked futher) can in out run a 7900GTX of the same brand.... Man this is what I call bang for your buck cuz it way cheaper than the 7900GTX's like about $370 ish compared to $500. NICE

virus, like you did not read the posts here about those very cards failing like flies? Tons of reports about it on the web.

Seems overclocking them does not sit well with the hardware in the long run.

Rather than risk the RMA, best to run at stock.

Actually I did read the post Baeg’s but this happens to be a somewhat different card (a revision/ redesigned of a KO version).

Apparently they (EVGA) realized the fault attached to the overclocked versions of the 7900GT Cards and made some changes (new memory, different BIOS, heatsink change). It’s also now called "7900GTX EVGA Signature Edition".

Hope mine doh fail " fingers crossed" eh

or so they would have you believe.

I only trust the hardware gurus that review the hardware. Not the manufacturers themselves. They will say anything to ensure their product sells.

Mine is going good so far but then I only brought it down a few weeks ago. May take a couple months to explode.

My fingers are crossed as well.

Doubtful even if the manage to clock the card with a higher speed, You will be able to overclock the 7900gtx faster.

Also there will be a big heating issue.
