Sheng Long waz d kinda bruce lee guy right?

effective immediately this thread is only suitable for those who have started their gaming on systems like the NES and those that came b4....

if you are one of those who got started on the SNES, yough luck, you are under-qualified to post here.
sorry if i come of as being elitist in this thread but i have been left with no option.

The 'bruce lee' guy was Fei Long.

Is not my fault i so d@mn young

TMNT 2 for the NES wasnt as good as the arcade version. It was called TMNT 2 the Arcade game for the NES. But it was deffinitely better than 3.
TMNT 1 was HARD....but i am PROUD TO SAY.....i FINISHED that game.....yes......i reached the center of the Technodrome, and i Killed Shredder, and ddint get turned into a baby turtle, and i whoop his tail with Donatello and Raphael.Because EVERYONE that plays TMNT for NES knew, that Raphael is the strongest chracter when his life is low.;)

Sheng Long waz d kinda bruce lee guy right?

'Sheng Long' is Chinese for 'Dragon Punch'.
So, what Ryu was actually saying (and was corrected in later ports of the game) was 'You'll have to defeat my Dragon Punch to stand a chance!'

People incorrectly thought that he was Ryu's master, and EGM came up with a 'code' to get him (where you had to last 10 rounds without getting hit or touching M. Bison, and then Sheng Long will come and beat him for you.) Sadly, this rumour is false, though it was one of the very things that inspired Akuma, which is the closest you'd get to a 'Sheng Long'.

Canon-wise, Sheng Long was nobody but a figment of people's imaginations.

I remember in a post on this thread people were talking about having only a handful of games and being able to play them over and over until yuh was a boss in it.
Anyone used to be so good they play the stage with they eyes closed? LOL
I coulda do that with a few games: Sonic 1, the first 3 stages, and the first stage and underwater stage in TMNT 1 for NES. Contra and SUper C in various stages too LOL. the WHOLE first and forest stage in Double Dragon 2. Actually in the first part of the mansion in Double Dragon 2 where you had to time the dissapearing platforms i realize if yuh went Karate Kid on it (close your eyes and count in your head and jump) you make it accross easier. the only way to beat DD2 was on the Supreme Master difficulty, otherwise yuh stop halfway in the game.

I could do that with Sonic 1 in first stage yeah... (the first 3 Acts up until Robotnik with the swinging boulder).

Karate Kid sure.... stage 1 + 2 ( Yes i CAN run though 2nd stage and rescue the mc girl on top of the tree).

Contra 1? First stage .... maybe... i dunno bout that one.

You know i could honestly say i NEVER get megaman borrow for nes? Go figure.

Wha d hell shiv? I REAL didn't know Raph was the strongest on the lowest life..... And yes, i TOO ventured into the Technodrome where mc splinter couldn't access the map to it.

Anyone remember playing Captain Commando in Concert Mall? Hell anyone remember Concert Mall the arcade of ALL arcades!!!! Those were the golden days.....

hmm...I'm kinda late but I remember the days when I was to short to reach the arcade joystick...
Solution: I tell my friend to get on all fours and I would stand on his back to peong...f***ed up huh ^_^

Also I remember the DAY when I broke my thumb playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 in the U.S.
The manual did say to consult a physician if there's pain and discomfort...but as young and naive as I was, I didn't give a crap about that....I only "read" the manual to view the pictures...nuff said!

I also have the song on computer, along with the theme song of the Amazing Mr. Ed. :)

...and Knight Rider was awesome.

Jesus Christ. The people at Nintendo tell you guys to take breaks every 15 minutes for a reason, you know....

...well, as the saying goes, 'If you ent go learn, you go feel.'

Anybody remember when Ninja Turtles 3 on the NES was THE s**t?
I could NOT put down that game.
Big Turtle freak like me.
Raphael, of course, was my Turtle of choice. I'm almost convinced Wolverine stole that Drill move from him in Marvel vs. Capcom, though....
