show suggestions on cards around that area

The 9800 Pro is way beyond the grasps of the MX series of cards...

Cards in "that area" are like the nVidia FX5200 which is actually the replacement for the MX series. In the ATI camp, I believe the 9000 is the equivalent card, not too sure tho.

Indeed. If you want other cards round that price range, look at the FX5200 or the Radeon 9000. If you want to stick with NVIDIA, I would look at putting out just a little bit more and getting an FX5200, it will last you longer before needing an upgrade than the MX440.
Have you ever wished things just were?

Radeon 8500 128mb :
$79 US
Radeon 9600 128mb :
$110 US

Is only a 8% difference between de geforce 4 TI and de radeon 8500 , for de price...... and some realistic stats
Geforce FX 5200 non ultra128mb : 4750 3d marks wit a AthlonXP 2500
Radeon 8500 LE 128mb : 9150 3d marks with a pentium 4 2.4 ghz [ my bro's ] at 61 US for de FX ...
De radeon 9600 gets like 14000 3dmarks with modest overclocking [can't remember exact numbers, its as fast as a 9700 when clocked ] on a 3ghz.

Sigh.

The PC store in valpark has the radeon 8500 for about TT $795, with GeForce 4 MX cards for TT $375-425.

GeForce 4 Ti 4200 is about TT $1200; GeForce FX (one of the lowendish ones) is about the same price.

The Geforce4 Mx 440 is the video card in all the computers at GATT HQ and Euro+

You can play games there and judge for yourself whether the card is doing a good job or not.

My personal opinion is that it is a great card for the price. It runs every game we have thrown at it to date. Bar none.

If I had $500 to spend on a Graphics Card I would buy: Geforce4
MX 440 64MB DDR

If I had $1000 to spend on a Graphics Card I would buy: Geforce4 TI 4200 128MB DDR

What is your budget?
