next saturday is gulf city.

Problems
They say registration starting 10 and by 11 they should get started it start at 1

Secondly they had 4 spaces for qualification into the next round but there were 5 groups. 4 PS2 groups and an XBOX group. Each group had 4 persons. I won all my matches. So did the other 4 group winners. When the stupid organizers realise there are 5 groups for only 4 places they decide to implement goal difference they ain't even mention anyhing before hand. steups but hear what it get even more ridiculous they decide to give first preference to the one XBOX group. So hear what despite me coming 4th overall i didnt get my spot into the next round damn thiefs! So they give 3 ps2 and one xbox.

In the goal difference i suppose to come 4th and get a place because all 4 ps2 men get more goals than the xbox man.

However they decide to be bias to the one xbox man crap!

I say all yuh men who going gulf city reach late cuz it will start late them men real slack .

Third problem
it was outside there was glare on the screen

Fourth problem
There was several technical difficulties in between causing a few games to be replayed and they were in the second half in fact it was 10mins per haalf

yeah, more good news.

The GameFreaks came to GATT HQ and formalized a relationship with us for throwing this event and more.

So we can confirm that the prize is US$20,000.00

but that's not all.

Fifa 2006 Tournament Of Champions School League:

1st Prize: TT$5000.00, Xbox 360 + Computer
School TT$5000 in sporting equipment + 2 computers

2nd Prize: $2000.00, Computer

3rd Prize: $1000, normal xbox

Dates: April 2nd – 29th April

Fifa 2006 Tournament Of Champions Caribbean Cub Tour

Open Category

1st US$20,000.00
2nd US$7000
3rd US$2000
4th US$ 1000

We are going to try and get active participation from our caribbean neighbours for this event by hosting prelims on their soil.

Martinique, St. Maarten, Guadeloupe, Trinidad (obviously), Jamaica, Grenada, Bahamas. St. Vincent, Barbados, Antigua, St. Lucia, etc.

We already have strong links with some but the others....we will have to drum up support to see if any gamers can be found living in the wild on those islands. lol

The current schedule for the open competition is as follows:

March 25th: Gulf City Mall

April 1st: Long Circular Mall

April 8th: Trincity Mall

15th April: Price Plaza, Chagaunas

22nd April: Gulf City Mall

April 29th and 30th: Centre of Excellence, Macoya (Semi Finals)

We have registered the domain and thrown up a place holder image at www.caribbeangamefreaks.com

In the above post for the schedule.... it says MARCH 28TH- gulfcity, which is next week tuesday.
Is it supposed to be MARCH 25TH which is this saturday??

also.. i would like 2 kno if one person can enter both tournaments... bcuz they seem to be separate tournaments?

Not too sure what is going on with the School division.

My last understanding is that it will take place on the day of the E-Sport Showdown which is in July.

well i'm in the last 32 of the open tourney, and i heard something about the 15th and 16th July in UWI...

i think the organizers are tryin to get sponsors like pepsi, sunshine snacks onboard for the skool tourney. but i heard this back in may.
