i wouldn't buy it, way too big, yeah i know that shouldn't be an option but why buy this when i can just get a damn laptop.  if they trying to aim it as a handheld, they aint gonna do great.

well you see now like laertes stated out its not a bloody handheld like the psp and ds
its a "tablet pc" and yes tablet pcs come at prices like 1800 and under uh huh
so? whats the big argument 600 - 900 for a mini tablet pc aint that bad if you have use for it and yes there are gaming tablet pcs out there ^_^

thats right no ones buying them the most you may find are students doing architecture or some art based degree using them but thats out of the usual, I had to correct these guys first hand some of them just on the case of bashing at microsoft for doing this other companies such as toshiba and panasonic are creating clones of origamis or as we should say now "pocket tablet pcs".
there is no specific use to us as the normal consumer's but for corperate and buisness reasons it will come in as a handy add on how much of us own or actually use a palm? a laptop is a better deal yes but with the mobility and capability of this little toy it could be used for multi purposes as of now there are those tablet pcs that ppl use in there kitchens to get stuff like the daily news, weather reports etc .
Us being the average consumer have no use for this but believe me in months to come well see stuff like this being used in households etc we are not open to the buisness market unless we work in it etc, So how do we know the funcionality of these things.

IT IS NOT A HANDHELD FOR SHAME TRINI ..
and to me its looking damn good for a start, not something i will buy but its very attractive to the corperate market and high tech house holds

well palms are everywhere, so that may not be the right example. I'm not saying that selling a new form factor isn't gonna work but it's just gonna take a long time for it to become mainstream since market forces have to bring the price down first. You could say the same for laptops. They were once clunky and not very powerful and only the domain of the business user. If they price it right then they may not have much problems gaining traction but then other issues like the interface will hold them up if they try to sell to consumers.

btw the battery life on this is extremely shitty, 2-3 hrs playing videos and running games. but i guess u could say that about the psp too.

And it'll take apple-level perfection in human interface and integration in cellphone data access to sell it.

Well said.
