I acquired an emulator for the PS2. Last week I didn't get a chance to tweak it but it should work....I went at my friend's place and he was playing Metal Gear Solid 2 and twisted Metal Black on his PC.....if it works then I am set for life my main man!

A ps2 emu that works...hmmmm, for what games, all ps2? I'll believe it when i see it.

a fully working ps2 emu is extremely laughable @ this point, sure there are screenshots of pcsx2 but as far as the actual running of the game goes if goes past 10 frames/sec then you got an amazingly beastly pc.

Metal Gear Solid 2 is on pc as is Twisted Metal 2. Doh get tief head cause thaz what most trinis good at.

Just yesterday a man came in JK insisting he have Tekken Tag working on his ps2 emulator @ home, and a little while ago a man claimed he played Soul Calibur 3 for Xbox @ Arena.

i really REALLY dont believe this post. I could be wrong, i have never seen a PS2 em work

The XBOX can emulate PSOne games, but only some. It cant play GT2 properly or allot of the latter games released for the PS1. Just like a man playing HALO 2 on his PC

The PS2 emu, well the one i know, can run some games, but not fully, mostly 1 -5 mins worth of gameplay and a couple movies....i would say its like 15% complete so dont expect much..as yet

so would it safe to say that a PC running 3.0gz, 1 gig ram, n a Ti4200 could run this phantom ps2 emu?

wheres the link..... when last i checked (oday) the best emu are barely getting the bios right...

I have tested some ps2 emus but they runn reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal slow if at all.

One of them actually showed the intros and the main menu but trying to start the game was like watching paint dry.

They are still a long way off but by the time we get a fully functional ps2 emulator we will be too busy searching for a ps3 emulator to really even care.
