Applications For Nokia 60 Series

Hey Everyone....Its me again....As u saw in the last thread I finally got my Nokia 6620 unlocked. This phone has alot of features. One feature my phone can't do is that it can't play mp3 files as ringtones. I find it really wierd since the phone can play the mp3's....just not as ringtones. My question to u ppl is......Do u know any sites where I can download an Application to make my phone play mp3's as ringtones?

I'm not sure but I think that when u buy a phone from the U.S the settings are different from when u buy the same phone down here. My friend bought the same phone as me in Trinidad and his phone can set mp3's as ringtones. Well anyone with this experience or anyone that has any knowledge of any Downloadable Applications plz reply.

Yeah I'm sure. Its like this I bought my Nokia 6620 from America and my friend bought his Nokia 6620 from Trinidad. Somehow they are kinda different since mine can't play them as ringtones but his can. Ours can both do the same thing...just not the ringtone part. Oh btw Laeters wat site did u get those games? The only games I have is like planet zero, doom, Metal Slug, Midnight pool, Metal Buster and midtown Madness 3d.

is it a company branded cellphone, like from tmobile or cingular?

Yeah I bought my phone from Cingular......maybe thats y my phone is different. lol. Damn.....Is there anyway I could change my options? Well at least thats good that I might be able to find some sites. A site I found that could download games and stuff for nokia phones is www.nokia-world.org....This site has alot of stuff for Nokia.

check wah version firmware u and yuh padna both have

type->          *#0000#

perhaps, by gettin a local company to flash you to the latest or more recent one than you have, you may get that funcionality...

wait,  that phone have mmc
if yuh have the songs on the mmc (mem card) and not on the "phone storage" you wouldn't be able to set them as ringtones. yuh have to put it on the phone storage first

Hey thanx Makatak......umm yeah I try putting the songs on the phone itself and the same thing came up. It said that the format is not formatted. Ohh well yes. I just have to put the songs i want in .awb format and set as a ringtone.Oh yeah and I checked my friend phone and some of the settings are different. Some Things i can get and some things he can get.

Oh Btw ya'll.....Is There a site where I can Download a Radio Application that can work in Trinidad? I really don't want to go out and buy the radio for the phone.

have you tried using pc suite n converting the mp3 to amr?
more or less same quality as mp3 just a format ur phone can read...

Yes I did that...amr works fine...but amr is a lower quality actually...the only sound format that i think works closely to mp3 or sounds the same is aac or awb. I used awb and it works good..just a lil soft.
