I love how well they work in the political allegory for the War in Iraq. Kevin Smith mentioned this in Geekdrome episode 13 (http://revision3.com/geekdrome/2006-02-20) but it wasn't quite as obvious as it was in the premiere. Insurgencies and Occupying Forces and all that.

I coulda cry yes, when Pegasus jump in and start to conduct the base ships. Pure poetry.

Though in hind sight, nostalgia aside, I woulda let Pegasus survivee and Galactica die, since it is the newer and better equipped of the two.

Remember, Galactica was a battlestar about to be decommisioned when the war broke out eh.

Not exactly the pride of the fleet at that stage.

Still an amazing episode and an even more amazing rescue of the humans on new caprica.

Jump in within the atmosphere, drop like a big stone....deploy vipers and jump out.

Friday ep was very boss....talk about intense. I wasnt expecting it to be so intense.. The problems with Baltar on the cylon ship, the killing of the characters on the Battlestar. Friggin Starbuck act so BOSS....my god i actually get so MC pissed with her.....like a spoil child who eh get christmas presents and she vex. BOSS>>>>BOSSSSS acting there.

In all Sci-Fi movies/TV series involving battle between spacecraft, that have to be the BEST TACTIC OF ALL TIME!!! That way, the Vipers did not have to run the gauntlet of FOUR Cylon base-ships and their Raiders in orbit.

I have to concur. No other tactic has impressed me as much as that.

Who died on the Galactica Shiv?? I am struggling to remember.

As for Tigh, his wife is an ultra slut so I felt no remorse for her passing. As the old man said himself, that woman was nothing but bad news from the start.

It is no wonder that she was involved in the troubles (a 1000 chakura for anyone who knows where that last line came from, hint....it's a fighting game)

unknown, you distributing those eps for free as a service to mankind? For those that missed the airings? Just curious.

kudos @ shiv for having the originals. It's great to support the people involved in producing this scifi masterpiece.

Unknown the HD versions you have are 700MB or the 400MB versions? If its 700 plz pm me and lemme knwo where you got em from. For this 3rd season that wont be out on DVD till next year sometime. When watched on a PC you cant really care or notice the diff. But when converted to DVD and viewed on a HDTV, the 700MB version is clearly *and obviously* better.

The first 10 episodes (15 in total) in season 1 are 238mb's, not the greatest quality, but very watchable nonthless. The pilot episodes as well as episode 11-13 are HD (350mb versions)
Season 2 are all 350mb HD recordings with subs.
Season 3 are also 350mb.

The only advantages of the 700mb episodes as far as i can see are the improved audo quality and the possibly higher quality video (although i cannot see the difference, 350mb versions look just like dvd quality)

Of course i cant charge a men hevily for this acquired material, however, a lil contribution will be nice to cover cost of dvd's and download time.

It's 10 shorts. Each about 4 minutes.

So all in all it totals to about 30 minutes showcasing the trials and tribulations of the resistance movement on new caprica lead by Tigh.

you know what kind of weird? how everybody just kind of evolved their caracter in a way that really wasn't to noiceable until you wacth one of the older epsodes

I really start to respect the president woman ( that is what she will be to me forever) and she started off as this annoying little thing. Big Adama, still the same. Young Adama, get a kind of selfish way to him, no and is not so appealing anymore, (Lampard resemblance or no) and Starbuck is like the ultimate in selfish b--chiness, no? i'm almost wishing she got shot down. and even the drunkard i can appreciate some more along with pres.

Gaius should be executed next time he bounce up with Galatica, no lie.
