i LOVE the new Nightwish. I went out and bought their album ORIGINAL just to show support for them.
I have been a fan of Nightwish for about 8 years now.....and was VERY mad when i heard what Tarja did to leave the band..TERRIBLE.
i LOVE Anette Olzon. Nightwish has AMPED their music RIGHT up....and i LOVE it.
Tarja was awesome.....and i loved her voice, and it will always be nostalgic....but people the dwell in Nostalgia will NEVER progress......ACCEPT change and UNDERSTAND it.
Anette isnt Tarja....and that is JUST FINE. With the amped up music people say Anette has no projection.......Anette frigging BELTS out the tunes with POWER. It's because Nightwish has gone harder it "seems" like she doesnt project. Love the change...love the new Nightwish
btw......Sharon Den Adel from Within Temptation......BEST FEMALE VOICE.....EVAR!

I don't have time to chase music like I use to but I'm feeling Flyleaf/AFI right now. I know they're old news but I like 'em. As for Instrumentals, I'm stuck on Enigma and the 12 Girls Band. 12GB is a Chinese group of Classical instrumentalists that play their interpretation of different songs. I heard their version of "Clocks" by Cold Play and I had an instant eargasm. I was like *monotone* "My God... I must have this."

many forums have metal threads despite havin a music thread....possible confusion that may occur is endless... i am sure there a metal fans that hate the idea ov a punk convo goin on in their metal thread

call me lazy but i not gonna read tru 22 pages ov mayb 90% bullshit

ps that post is a fine xample of the shit i rather not read about that could have been avoided via metal thread

Seeing as this is not really a music forum, and there isn't enough traffic into the particular topic of music as there is in..oh..say...games, computer hardware/software and/or general tech, it's much more tidy to have just one general purpose music thread

Even if we allowed the metal thread how long before it goes dead or simply falls through the cracks...to then be resurrected by ye local noob who ends up pushing down more active threads just to say 'LOLZ I <3 METALLL !!!ONE111'

It's much better to avoid a mess than to clean one up.

you know, Kull, if you like metal so much there are about a million sites/forums/etc dedicated to it, why the need for the discussion here?
You could jump over to tribal/island or any one of the 'rock' sites that trini's frequent, have a discussion about metal or what ever sub-genres you into and then jump back here for your daily fix of gaming and/or tech...

Win/Win situation no?
