Yeah well I finally got my PS2, it's a slim line so I was wondering what problems people have had withthese and how they remedied them.

Look out for overheating which could lead to a laser burn out.
Always keep it kool...put a fan on it...even if you in an A/C room.
The vertical stand helps alot with cooling too.

If you very serious about it i know someone closing down a place that sells PS2 accessories...it's in Marabella though. This is the original Sony vertical stand
Directions to store from Marabella Roundabout (Gopaul Lands:
1) Drive up Southern Main Road as if going to San Fernando.
2) You'll pass the Police Station and Cemetary on the left.
3) You'll stop by a traffic light. The store is on the left and the outside wall is painted red.
Opening Hours:
Mon - Sat: 12.30 pm to 7.30 pm
Sunday - 10 am to 2 pm
You can also check JK Entertainment

From owning a slimline that is modified i can tell you this.
1) You should get the vertical stand for the system. It helps save the lens and helps the heat move throught the system and out of it faster
2) VERY IMPORTANT. Get a line conditioner. JK always stresses on these 2 things. A simple voltage surge or WORSE YET a drop would burn your lens. He tired get responses from ppl about this. A regular line conditioner go run you a couple bill

Right now my modded slimey givin trouble with God of War and Killzone. God of War the audio skips every now and then....the start up screen audio skips ALOT. For Killzone the load times is all kinda 5 minutes....sometimes a blank screen appears after a "retry" after getting killed.
I try using a DVD lens cleaner....but nuttin. Other games running normalish.

Well i bought these games from nanan's....
The God of War skippin audio real bad and load times were real long...i clean de lens...disc is clean...still skipping. So i decide to burn it over, the audio now plays fine...it jus stickin on the same stage from the previous disc. Nanan's claim to burn games on "high quality" and "not cheap" DVD's....yet their discs have no brand name on them...but written "ritek" with a marker. Another game i got from them is giving trouble too, Killzone.
Anybody know if they would change them ?...i got them 3 weeks now and jus started playing.

I think they will, cause when I went to get my system some fella had returned a game call and find out. But seriously screw nanan's they stuff is crap but I want to get a copy of Marvel vs capcom 2 so I kinda have to go there. But the same thing happening with me the God of War sticking with the cinematics.

There are 2 versions for GoW out there. The DVD 9 and the regular version. The reg version skips.

*wonders why talk about games that are clearly NOT ORIGINAL, are being touted here, as well as links to commercial locations as well?*
