Jobs calls murdered Apple boy’s parentsIncomprehensibleBy Nick Farrell: Thursday 07 July 2005, 06:51APPLE BOSS Steve Jobs rang up the family of Christopher Rose who was murdered for his iPod.According to the New York Times, Jobs personally called the family of a 15-year-old New Yorker to offer his condolences after the teenager was killed last week during a fight over an iPod.Jobs, hearing of the murder, got the phone number of the victim's father, Errol Rose and rang him up. Unfortunately it didn’t go quite the way he planned it. Rose apparently didn’t know who initially didn't know who Steve Jobs was when he called.Jobs told Rose that he understood his pain and asked if there was anything he could do to help. Rose said the call really lightened him."Some people talk to you like they’re something remote," Rose told the New York Times.Christopher Rose was killed Saturday in Brooklyn after Rose and three friends were confronted by a group of teenagers who demanded that Rose give them his iPod. Rose was stabbed twice in the chest after he said no.
