Gave it to his brother a few hours ago...

Playing it on a weak fx5200 here in the office...I'd embarass myself if I showed anything more :P

Still....it does look much better than its predecessors...even on this piece o crap gfx card...I'll try to take some pics...with me and Mr. shovel on someone's chest :D muhahahhaha

[edit]
Done...muhahahaha :D

Any requests? :)

Game runs smooth yeah...dunno how much of my hardware it takes advantage, but I guess it must be doing something...cos all I have in my office pc is an fx5200 128MB card...so I'm running at the default display settings, which include 800x600x32...I guess I might try upping the gfx a bit, but I dunno how much lix a 5200 could take...trial & error immc....woo wee....can you see the glee on my face.....NOT! :P

Here's the specs on my office pc:
P4 2.8GHz w/HT
1GB RAM
FX5200 128MB
XP Pro w/SP2

Well I've seen some maps in HaloCE bring it to its knees already...so let's just say that I'm none too impressed by it thus far...granted it is targeted at the entry-level end user...but still, it has been measured...and found wanting! :)

I'll go through the trials and tribulations of changing 1 setting at a time and see how much lix it really can take...

really i mash up some halo with my 5200 just last year when i owned it
the other specs where athlon xp 2200 ,256mb ddr ram  lol
but that is the best proicess to do and do not overclock a 5200 lol
fx 5200s down here is standard graphics on gamers system
but companies say HIGH END ..bsbsbsbs
anyhow run the test make the post good luck

5200 is BS ... my 8500 plays halo @ 1024x768 smooth with all the settings turned up, a 5200 crawls at 640x480 ! and whats sad is that the max poly count for a halo map is 10 000 ! and the textures are 64x64 resolution ..... Whereas a real game like COD can put out 200 000 polygons and the screen and has 256x256 rez textures maxed out .

The San Andreas can push your card alittle .... esp with the 1x antialliasing but it should be able to run smoothly on the 5200 as it is running smoothly on my gforce 3 - 128mb in 1024x768 .... just dont bump up the draw distance pass half mark cause then yuh will feel it.

I will also send some pics and see if i cant come better than czar's pics wit the shovel!!!

Yo, no offense or anything, but why you use a line from scar face, for SA? ??? :P

Anywho.... I dont think that my pc would be able to play it, well it might, but for certain it wouldnt be on par with others. Friggin crappy FX 5200. Dats the only thing that i dont like about pcs, everynow and then you need to upgrade...and it does be expensive...

capable... but not half as good  as a 9600 , 9550 or even 9000/9100 ! even the old geforce 4 TI and geforce 3 puts out more frame/ 3dmarks than a 5200 .  The only marginally good 5200 is the 5200 ULTRA , which can get 10 000 3dmarks but are expensive , noisy , and need an external power connector like a 9800 !
For any low end system , i would rather a geforce 4, 6200  , or radeon 9 card ... Fx cards are all round crap .

yeah, fx 5200 isn't a strong card

4500 3dmark is lame for it's generation.

You will easily get 6000+ on a Geforce3

9000+ on a TI 4200

and 15000+ on a 6600GT

I am playing around with the FX 5500 which is doing about 7000+ on 3dmark 2001

Not bad and it only costs a little more.

6600gt will easily score 18000 on your average cpu, 24000 + on an athlon 64 .
7000 3dmarks is still poor for a dx9 level card , and give the FX gpu some serious shading to do like from half life 2  and it chokes ... thats why FX cards are limited to DX8 effects in alot of games .
the new 6200s and 6600s  look extremly promising , they got for 140 for a 6600 , 90-100  for the 6200 , all for AGP , the pci versions are even cheaper !
a 6600 will put out 15000 3dmarks , and some come with 256mb DDR which will help you with games several years from now , the 6200 is the Nvidia competition for the 9550 and 9600 cards , both 9550 and 6200 perform light years ahead of the FX 5500 and 5200 for the same price as the FX cards released at .
one thing that is annoying about trinidad , low end stuff is marketed as the best  and sold at insane prices , most people here don't know the meaning of quality , speed , or service , its shameful that the fastest machine i ever used was MINE.... though a couple places in POS and curepe have respectable rigs with 9700s and whatnought ,  whats available for sale normally is low end garbage selling for 10 000 TT or more .
GTA : san andreas looks to be a great improvement over the rest , though the Ps2 is really holding back rockstars potential , If rockstar had stronger PC or Xbox ties we  would have gotten much crisper , high poly graphics and more immersive gameplay  , look at how good  a job Vampires : bloodlines does at rendering  the grittiness of nightlife in LA , i know it isn't exactly comparable cause GTA loads almost seamlessly but it doesn't render much more citiscape than Vampires with the clipping distance  lowered .... if san andreas STARTED from the pc or xbox , we would have gotten something comparable , instead of something that looks ancient .
