I find the fanboyish statements against the PS3 in this thread getting REL old, and VERY immature.
Last I checked PS3 has been sweeping the awards with its exclusive games.
That said, 360 has been pushing some equally good software that I'd like to play.

What happened to being fair in a conversation?
Why every single opportunity ya'll get you have to chook some kinda thrash talk :/. Your points are loud and clear over hundreds of posts on the site read by the same people posting in these threads everytime.
PlayStation isn't doing ANYTHING to ya'll...so stop "b!^ching" for lack of a better term lol.

Anyway thats my rant. :)

To quote the great Kevin Butler:
"And though we may pledge fanboy allegiances to different flags, deep down inside we all serve one master, one king...and his name is GAMING. Forever may he reign."

On the Kinect vs Move talk brought up. The applications for both are spectacular.
The precision of the Move and execution in new games like Sorcery was amazing.
Kinect, optimised camera tracking of humans = great possibilities. Gestures, voice control and the like.
I personally wish it were on PS3 also. (My family LOVED Kinect and well a 360 definitely in store for this household.)
Point is, the Wii Motion Plus, Move and Kinect all enable us to play more games.
Is it the games we grown hard back Trinis will play? maybe...maybe not... But at the end of the day Gaming grows with the new technology and we all win in the future.

I have a PS3 also, so I fully endorse TheApprentice's statements.  Not sure if I'll be investing in Kinect right now.  When baby-girl gets older, it will be a nice way to introduce her to gaming.

I was a skeptic of Move...I'll admit that, but the live demo of Sorcery really floored me.  I'm actually considering getting that one.  I would really like to see how it functions in SOCOM 4 though.

Don't take it so personal.  Those guys just love to poke fun at the PS3 in the spirit of good ole trini picong.  As I talk dat...Kevin Butler's snide swipes at Kinect are rather amusing when you look at em (without you Xbox glasses of course).

Leave it to a man with both and not JUST a PS3 to see this XD, what fun would it be if we didn't poke fun at each other?

I'm very certain that programmers can and will somehow incorporate Kinect into their more popular franchises. i.e That snow mobile stage in Modern Warfare 2 would make an excellent stage for using Kinect. So whereas you may never see a "serious" game using Kinect for the entire game, you will defintely see it for some segment of it. Perhaps a rail scene or something.

Yeah...I just took in this one.

The motion control seems to be spot-on.

What has me concerned though...is the same issue that plagued Resident Evil 4 for the Wii:

The fact that you have to move the cursor almost to the edge of the screen to actually turn around
is a bit disconcerting, especially if you have incoming fire from multiple angles.  Even more so in MP,
because you really need to 'keep your head on a swivel' to avoid being ambushed.

I thought it would have been better to have the reticle stay in the centre of the screen, and have the entire
screen move when you look around, like most 3rd person games.  I wonder if the option to choose that method
will be included?  I know the first Lost Planet had that option.

Still...I'm willing to give it a chance.

What I'm wondering, is if Sony will have both Move control wands, and the PS Eye camera in one package,
or do we have to purchase each item separately.  The stated price was 49.99 US, but what exactly are you getting?

Aint see a package yet with all, the Playstation Move Navigation controller is for 30us sold by itself. Hopefully there's a bundle that adds that to the current package of the PS Eye, Move Controller and Sports for 100us on amazon.

If they are smart they SHOULD bundle all together and still have each to be bought serparately.

wait.......wha we doin talking about this in the xbox thread

Anandtech has posted up a old/new comparison gallery, and a dissection gallery (modders take note :)).

I wonder if its possible to eventually replace that 250GB drive with a bigger one?

Take into account would you even have time to play all these games. Its one of the reasons I've cut back on buying games when I realized I bought games that never even made it into the PS3.

Guys... sigh.... i love my 360.. really i do.. but i am contemplating getting it modded right about now.

There are so many games i want to play coming in the next year and if i decide to buy them all i may very well end up spending in excess of 300 USD which makes little sense when you consider http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-250GB-Elite-Console/dp/B003O6JJKY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1277126989&sr=8-2 i mean... what if i modify my 360, which is not too expensive to do right now, and simply purchase that new model later in the year as there is are several games that i will want to experience, all of which do not need to be online.

thoughts?

It would allow you to play a bunch of games, though the real question is do you have the time to play them. As you mentioned it wouldn't be for online, would make no sense trying to go on Live and then getting your account banned. I don't think you have too much to lose since the 360 hardware tends to fail after a few years anyway so if it is an older model might as well get the most use out of it.

Then again GATT doesn't promote such activity so I say buy all games, movies and music original :)

Well dis is de way to look at it, do you want to play games on XBL atm, if yes you will have to cool out and wait until it is closer to de release date of de new console before you put in dat shiny mod chip.  Dis looks to me like de most feasible option as when dat patch comes, and it is not a case of "if it will come" but "when it will come" there goes your ability to play games online.

Yeah I wouldn't rely on it for playin online tho I have heard of ppl who have been playin on XBL for a long time on modded systems. Then again we have seen mass bans as well....
