Man say only good shooters on 360 is Halo and Gears... man discredit all the good times i've had with COD2, 3, WAW, MW, MW2 BF BC2... you sir just lost all credability XD. Man also discredit Forza, the XBL Arcade gems, Fable, Oblivion (you know those great CROSS platform games that won goy and such). Also as woody said the Live community experience is better, most have mics, lots more competition and a higher standard imho... but hey what do I know I just own a 360 and wouldn't consider a PS3 even after playing it.

Hey guys, just signed up, hoping i can get some good feedback.
I have a 360 that needs repairs, the power unit got flood damage and although the main box did not get wet i'm getting the 3 red rings, so i figure when the power supply got wet it might have surged and fried something in the console.
long story short, i've had a ton of drama with 360's (this is my 3rd) and i can't be bothered trying to send this one back to MS.
Is there a reliable place in T&T i can have it checked out? Who would the GATT recommend?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Welcome to the Forum.

I've been through that, after my 4th 360 failure I took a break on 360 and went on PS3.

I remember a while back there was a discussion about Zero Media. I assume you tried a different power unit just in case?

Check this old post, not sure if they still around, can anyone confirm?

Guys gow 2 update 6 out, improved alot of stuff.

- Shotty delays removed
- No more bullet delays when firing (everyone is host in a way), instead there are damage delays. Possible for 2 ppl to kill each other at the same time. Possible when being meleed now.
- Split matchmaking, ranked and social, custom games are invite only now. Ranked is the same as before, social is like player matches where ppl can quit and rejoin as much as possible, pre-determined map cycle.
- Improved host selection.
- Shotgun pellet spread changed, it's more reliable now, more powerful.
- Easier to switch weapons using D-PAD.
- Added a timer to annex, koh, guardian, submission.

Among other things...just letting u guys know

Played it this morning with the new update. They were right about the no delay with shots fired cause it was hard to tell if i was the host or not. matchmaking system was restructured into five categories now, including two for private matches. Otherwise it plays well.

It seems I may have finally found a reason to get back into competitive fighting on the Xbox 360.

I am seriously considering getting one of these...

This review should speak for itself.

Yes, you did, but I'm sure it wasn't available on ebay then.

I think thats why I didn't show any interest in it at that time.

So did you get one?  If so, what are your impressions?

Yeah I had one for a bit. The downside was it needed a wired 360 controller and the one I was using died, so I sold it.

It worked pretty well with the dual shock 2 and a madcatz ps2 controller in HD Remix with no noticeable lag, I had a little problem with my old ps2 Tekken 5 stick but that could attributed to the hori pcb.

Its a solid investment if you can get around needing 2 controllers to actually use the thing on a 360.

I actually considered a fightpad, but the D-pad on those cannot compare in any way, shape or form to a Sony Dual Shock.

Interesting, but it might shock you to know that I HATE controllers with a six button layout like that.

I'm afraid that I'm well and truly spoiled by the shape/layout of Sony's Dual Shock 1 and 2 controllers...

The ONLY D-pad that's better than this, is the one on the original SNES controller...

I'm willing to hazard a guess that Sony actually used (elements of) this controller as their inspiration when designing the Dual Shock 1/2.

Its no wonder they decided not to change the layout for the Dual Shock 3.

Thats because the PS1 was originally being developed for Nintendo, until Nintendo tell Sony touch de road and we know what happened after that.

LOL...not to worry, I went ahead and purchased the Joytron one.  Should get it around the 20th or so.

I only have Street Fighter 4 and HD Remix though.  I still cannot bring myself to purchase SSF4.

New Xbox 360 unboxing...

I have to admit...it is sexy.  The built-in wifi and 250GB HDD is a definite step up.  As is the optical-out.
I am in love with this new form factor.

Who want mine to buy?  :happy0203:
