Ok...that shiznit made me howl with LuLz. +1 ma nugga. Its true that my Xbox aint get NEARLY as much runtime as these other guys' own, butstill, my bro sweat it a LOT in my absence. I'm really surprised it stayed working this longwhen everyone I know with one has had them fail...and some more than one.Its really appalling how high the failure rate is. Its really hard for me to recommend to a parent (who may already not know enough)to get a Xbox for their kids, when this is still happening to the latest 'Jasper' units as well....but confirm this for me peeps...did Chinara's SECOND Xbox RROD also? Wasn't that a Jasper, or Falcon?
I'm on a Jasper, got one with the 512mb memory, let's hope they are as reliable as is claimed
I don't think there is any way to prevent rrod, seems to be luck yes.

Microsoft responds to Xbox 360 54.2 percent failure rate report, doesn't dispute the datahttp://www.engadget.com/2009/08/24/microsoft-responds-to-xbox-360-54-2-percent-failure-rate-report/Admittedly, when we saw Game Informer's survey that pegged Xbox 360's failure rate at 54.2 percent, we were thinking that was a bit steep of a number, possibly bumped up a few digits from some possible sampling errors. So when we were gearing up to read Microsoft's statement responding to the data, we fully expected some harsh rebuttal of the number. Turns out we got disappointed. A spokesperson for Redmond pointed to its superior entertainment value, its "best warranty in the industry" and its "constantly improving design, manufacture, and performance." At no point is there a dispute or even direct reference to the findings, which is really something that could've helped public perception on a nagging issue. How about taking a page from Fujifilm, eh Microsoft?
^ dat jus not smart lolyuh already hav a ps3 to use wen/if d 360 hadda go for repairs
