true , 'cooling everything' is a little overboard,  all that needs to be cooled are your chips ( cpu, GPU , northbridge) , high end hard drives  in the 10 000/15 000 rpm range need cooling too.
The  most l33t cooling would be one of those  phase change coolers that cool the whole case to -10 degrees,  just set of heatsinks and fans after that will keep your system ultra cool  .   Water cooling is dangerous, and not easily portable , and highly expensive for no real reason .
extreme cooling eg. with water/vapours  is useless for the average person , they are meant for overclockers who push their systems to its limits in order to get more FREE performance . for the average pc, a few extra fans should do the job  .

SATA HDD @ 15,000rpm?? o_O

Think you mean SCSI HDD....no? Or perhaps 10,000rpm?
I wasn't aware of any SATA drives that surpass the Raptor's 10,000rpm for rotation speed...?

Server based  hard drives are already in the 15 000 RPM range, shinkuu CAN'T overclock due to having a Dell, their chipsets have 0 options to do so ( + voiding the warranty anyway, thats why alienware rulez ) .  And shinkuu, do NOT buy a video card based on the amount of RAM it has, thats like buying a tank for racing just because it has more horsepower than a Subaru , you need a video card with a fast processor  first an foremost , all modern graphics  cards can use your system RAM to buffer whatever data they need extra .
What you want is a PCI-E geforce 6600 GT,  even though it is more expensive  than most and  has 128mb of RAM, it will be alot faster than anything else you can get in its price range , and at least 8 times as fast as your 5200 .

I know about 15,000rpm SCSI drives, I've got quite a few in the office...which is what you are talking about...however, if you'd read my question properly, you'll realise that I was talking about SATA...which is currently limited to 10,000rpm...eg. the WD Raptor...

ok well this is new
cause im new to the whole "SCSI"  /   "SATA" thing
but there are dual SATA headers onboard that i am currently using. i also have a SCSI card has about 6 ports with same connectors that is on my board. so what is the difference between SATA and SCSI?
cause to me they have the same connector configuration onboard as well as on the card...

i did check via an advisor cant remember which one i used but they all said that the hdd is 15000 rpm.
it is a Server after all....

Ahhh...then you have SCSI drives my friend...SATA drives currently max out at 10,000rpm...

Those SCSI drives must have cost a pretty penny...

The fastest commercial sata/ide drives are @ 10,000 and called raptors (as czar mentioned) however their maximum capacity is 74gbs (thereabout).

If indeed Jdcrys has

"2 sata maxtor hd 160gig each @ 15000rpm"

Or even 2 SCSI, how are you getting a 15000 SCSI drive @ 160GBs.

Im sorry JDcrys if these are indeed your specs you spent your money unwizely.  Huge monitor, way expensive hdds..
You own VZ?? Ill make a stop in one day and put a face to this nick.

JDcry's specs may be accurate, server class stuff is always higher quality than what we get for our desktops ,  there are already 1 GB video cards for servers while desktops video cards  are now reaching 512mb,  Servers have had 64 bit capability and hyperthreading years before  we got Athlon 64s and P4s with HT .

Would you be so kind as to share some links to said hardware please...

Seagate tops out at 146GB on the 15,000rpm (SCSI) drives...haven't checked any other manufacturers...

can't find any of the  1gb cards right now, but here are some 640mbs >>>>http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-124-115&depa=0

Opteron chips by AMD were available since 2003  , the currant A64 is just a  cheaper modification of them .

said hardware sucks for gaming, they use it for 3d rendering  and server work .

Actually, if my memory is not failing me yet, there are 15K RPM SATA drives... I may be wrong but if u build the highest of the HIGH Alienware systems, there is the option for 15K RPM 16MB buffered SATA drives in RAID 0. That being said, they are prolly special order items that are distinct to alienware... ah well. SATA II promises to be a good option as the nForce 4 chipset supports them.

Even if there were 15000rpm, getting them @ 160gb? Come on....
I wouldnt mind being shown a link for the said drive, It will only aid to enchance my knowledge.

w1ntry> I think you memory failed.  Invest in some ECC.
Maximum capacity for the 10000 drives is 74GB, there are raiding options.
Would you like a screen shot, On Alienware homesite?

Sorry guys my n00bie tolerance is low today.

Jdcrys, are you fronting? if not, provide a link for the said items.  Dont do like Bushman and say your drive costs US$300 when it really only costs half that.  In the end you will beniefit by not making yourself look like a n00b infront professionals.

Trini>
Yes Server class machines have more powerful hardware (generally) but they almost always lack a powerful videocard and in many cases come with it onboard to save that hassle.  A true server class machine isnt meant to 'sweat' on but rather be used for its higher quantity or RAM/ More powerful CPU/s.

That videocard you linked is used in rendering 3d animation for movies like toystory, incredibles (Pixar films stuff).  As in the user review stated they are not meant for gaming.
