Author Topic: Naruto heading to Cartoon Network (Read 18924 times)

According to an update post this morning on the Anime News Network website , the US Cartoon Network will be home to Naruto.

\"Cartoon Network announced at their Upfront press conference today that Naruto and One Piece will be airing on the network this year. One Piece starts in May, with Naruto following in the third quarter.\"

With Naruto starting in the 3rd quarter (August/September likely), this means that the show is likely already undergoing the dubbing process or has been for some time, but at the least indicates that this property has been formally and officially licensed for some time.

Following his announcement , the well known anime torrent site AnimeSuki has marked the series licensed and removed links to Naruto fansubs.

But wouldnt the fan subs still come out, since only the naruto on cartoon network is licensed and its the uncut japanese version that they sub? Cause even though animesuki took it off, Narutofan and Naruto-kun still have the bittorrents.

Well it has been stated that famed subbing group AONE will keep subbing the serise Naruto. This is good but this relys that they can still get their RAW versions from Saiyaman, this is good and Saiyaman did provide Inuyasha RAW versions even though it was licensed. I think with enough requests CCTT should be able to switch back to US cartoon network. We use to have it before and then all of a sudden it changed to this educational cartoon netowork for spanish students. Some of my favorite anime on there and I can't understand one thing they sayin.

I gonna call them about that this week as a matter of fact and get specific details as to why we can't get US cartoon network and boomerang.

I think you forgot to mention the part where they're considering renaming 'Naruto' NATHAN.

That would blow major chunks if they do decide on that.
Let's just hope that our expectations of what the show should be wins over corporate ideals.

I ain't watching no episodes of NATHAN, that's for sure.

I seriously aint watching no cartoon name "Nathan". That sounding so ghey it aint funny. So what the hell is wrong with just keeping the name Naruto. Next Sasuke gonna be Shawn, Sakura gonna be Sharon and Kakashi gonna be Kevin.

Naruto - Vash from Trigun
Kakashi - Spike from Cowboy Bebop
Sakura - Misty from Pokemon
Gaara - Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh
Sasuke - Hiro from Gundam Wing

Actually Misty's voice would fit Sakura pretty well IMO.
She has that tone that really fits Sakura.

As for Seto Kaiba's voice as Garra I aint too sure about that.
And I dunno how those other voices sound, but I'll have to watch some Trigun to get an idea of how Naruto should sound.

We don't know for certain if they're really going to carry out that crackpot idea of naming Naruto 'Nathan'.
Chances are, the backwash of angry fans that would surely come about would make them think twice about doing so.

tru dat but that naruto to nathan bs cyar wuk, its a totally bad idea to let americans and their posessive feminine ways to c something perfect and spoil it, the whole fact that naruto is comming out in english spoiling the good rep naruto took 123 episodes perfecting, imagine naruto stressin out rassengan(think about how the power rangers used to summon those god forsaken zords) or sasuke stressin out chidori not to mention stuff like ki and no jitsu, urg, makes me wanna shoot the person who allowed americans to even hear about naruto
