why do you believe that? the 4400+ stock isnt slow by any means, and most games today still are far far more reliant on the gpu than cpu.

It just occur to me that prowl 3DMark score has his processor @ 3.4GHz... which means his actual score at STOCK is lower. Prowl run a bench on your system at STOCK and lewwe see the scores nah? man dissing my rig and eh give no base performance number bwtmc :p

actually 3.24, I'll run it for you again @ 2.4 and let ya see.  The cpu  scores slighty increase the 3dmark results. @ stock cpu not OCing the board I might end up a tad lower than your score due to my card -25% to yours, it's a GT!

Well folks, check the new benchies with my spankin new, BLAZING FAST, 8800 GTS:

3DMark05: 10566

3DMark06: 6937

Of course, run at stock speed: 550Mhz core/1300Mhz memory

Just goes to show the raw power of the 8800 series.
Mind you, this is on my current Athlon 64 X2 3800 rig eh.

I can't WAIT to see what will be the result when paired with the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600.

wow.

Now that is impressive.

Quite a bit of benchmarks posted since the last tally up.

Looks like we going to have a big shake up in the top 10 now.

I see even RB making a run with his DELL XPS.

Sorry, didn't have it. I only just downloaded it. Here are the results

Athlon X2 4200
Biostar AM2NF6G
1GB PC533 DDR2 RAM
RAID 0 (2x80GB Seagate SATA II HD)
BFG Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB OC2 PCIe

3DMark 06 Settings
Resolution: 1280x1024
Anitaliasing: None
Filtering Optimal
HLSL VS Target 3_0
HLSL PS Target 3_0
Fixed Framerate Off

Score – 8008

As you can see my cpu is holding me back. I've been a big AMD fan for years but the core2duo benchmarks really speak for themselves.
