Tekken 5 Bundle

Who said there's anything wrong with that?
Clearly people must have their own tastes but what I think rb is trying to say is that you really can't compare the two.  When the jap players go to american tournaments, they are provided with jap sticks and vice versa.

I get some probelms with mine though.  Not on tekken but on SF.  It's a pain to do c lk x2 xx supah!!!  That's coz I realized on joysticks, I usally do hadouken motions from backward to forward giving a half circle motion.  Then negative edge comes in and I'm screwed.

Too much babble anyway, I can play on either equally well provided they're working properly.

yeah i have problems with the kara ei ei ei 0_o or sometimes I just cant execute a  rdc, but if i position my hand porperly over the center of the stick I could easily rock a mrsp or evan a tv-14-L. I should get to training with a japanese stick so I can pull of the Crk Lk x 3 HDk-FP, SCC-SHDK.

Man I could write a long post on this. I won't though. But in short all US arcades like Trinidadian ones use Bat style sticks. What kind of stick do you think they would choose? Socal is full of marvel dudes anyway.

Doh talk unless you know.
Socal in full of the best Tekken players in the US.Where's Castel from?Thomas Kim?Tragic?Jason Arney?
Probably the only reason you say that is because of Alex 'Calipower' Valle, who plays Tekken as well and placed 3rd in the TTT Worlds.

Quote
MAS doesnt use the exact Korean style stick. Korean Sticks have a rubberband tension spring which needs constant rotation to loosen up.

I never said they used Korean style sticks.I said that because they allow a choice of springs they allow players to easily recreate the fluidity of Korean sticks.Go look for a joystick movie for lightdash. You can't do that on anything but stick that's flexible to Korean standards.

He isn't the only combo maker that uses his combos in real matches. Look at the Marvel scene and the SF3 scene and also look at real life people like us who use them.

Topic = Tekken Bundle
I have no idea how the international SF and Marvel scene runs and I never made any mention to it.
But Castel IS the only well known person that goes full out in juggles in real matches.Look at any tournament matches and you'll never see guys doing that kind of stuff.
As for Trinis, the best player in the country is likely Bryanmaster and even HE doesn't come close to using juggles of that complexity in-game.

Endorsement is a funny thing, because one person can endorse all they want.90% of trini tekken players don't have a clue who Castel is and for that reason most likely won't care.

I never said trini players should care. That 90% you mentioned can't do **** with anyone but Paul anyway. But that fact is that there is no greater combomaster in Tekken than Castel. And that's WORLDWIDE.
The Korean sites do very well but they still can't match Castel, either in terms of overall presentation or the originality of the combos themselves.

Again, I see exar failed to get the summation into his skull.

I want to play you in t4 sometime btw and see how good you are.  Where would be a good spot for that?

Exar you still fail to see all my points. You assume I don't know what I talking about. Sorry man but you real dense when it come to reading and understanding what I'm trying to say.

All that aside

Whats your opinion on KYSG as a combo maker besides the fact that he uses a programmable stick

together we aspire, together we achieve.

Let's not kill each other outside of the game over such issues.

That Tekken 4 sweat sounding like a plan! Maybe we can have a show down after the big Prez battle at the new Sip and Surf.

The 'summation' everyone has their own tastes isn't fun for debates. It's a cheap point that has no comeback and can be used to put a bullet in any good argument.Anyone who uses it in a case where a good debate can be had should be chained to block the door at AC at starting time and so be trampled.

camrE:haven't been on LIVE for a little while.Got tons of offline games at present to finish.I want to start back again soon though,my Halo 2 rank is pathetic.

Ok so Hori is better.  We were just trying to make you feel good.  I myself have done all sorts of research on the enclosures, down to the stick itself, further down to the wiring.

We could get into how the button layout on the Hori is ergonomically sound whereas the MAS is not.

We could argue how the shorter stick lessens wrist movent which allows for longer hours of play from more ease of movent compared to the MAS

We could debate the button type used.  Hori having convex buttons which allow for quicker button inputs as opposed to the concave buttons of the MAS, but I don't want to.

We could also get into how Hori makes their sticks with genuine Sanwa parts which are the best arcade parts in the WORLD at this very moment if you want to get into the blood and guts of the thing.  Happs parts are good yes, but face it, the Japanese take gaming more seriously.  They spend millions of dollars on R&D for a formula which gives the best stick possible and the Hori is it at the moment.

All you could say is that Castel uses one.  Tekken is one game.

I can say
Daigo
Kokujin
Fujiwara
178
Georgia
BAS
Ino

Buktooth
KO
Tokido
Ver
Aenica(not sure)
Sowmnesis
KSK
Even my man Prez

ALL used Hori sticks at some point and it did make a difference.  Well not really prez coz he's accustomed to playing on a cabinet anyway but he still beat the crap outta everyone who played him with some nice combos that some people would never dare try in their lifetime.

But hey, do yourself a favour.  Go to tekkenzaibatsu and put up a poll and ask those who have used both.  Put up a poll on shoryuken.com see what they think.  Put up another poll in gamecombos on the Guilty Room and see what they think.
Go to Soulcalibur.com or guardimpact.com get a viewpoint from the Soul Calibur populace as well.

Joysticks aren't just Tekken.

I identify with what people over all these boards are saying because I CAN compare BOTH being a hori owner myself.  If anything, my only complaint is that it sometimes makes you have to relearn how to do thing due to the precision of the damned thing.

Joysticks are more than Tekken, that is rather obvious.
However this is a Tekken topic and I'm talking about Tekken so for all intents and purposes:
Joysticks = Tekken

MAS has always been more respected by the elite on Zaibatsu.Unless Hori has drastically changed the stick design,I don't expect that to change.
Course I'm just arguing for arguments sake.I prefer using a dual shock any day.

You would have a more compelling argument though if you actually owned one.  Hey, recalling something you said sometime ago about the worlds high level players in TTT you said they were Koreans didn't you?

I wonder what they use....

ALL the best Tekken players in the world are Koreans.
As to which they use, they use neither.South Korea has a gaming mania that makes Japan pale in comparison. They show tourneys on tv and all that.

There're companies there that custom make sticks and that's what these guys use.How do I know?I asked a guy from one of the top fighting clans.

And how come my friend just called me on the phone saying there's some tourneys in SnS.Saw no announcement here I did.
He said his cousin from Canada, who world ranked in the VS games will be there. That probably means a good chance for you versus guys if you decide to go.

Wow its a custom Hori.

You can get a MAS type stick customized easily u know.  Give Dreaded Fist a pm on SRK.com and they'll make and ship you one.

You can put your own skin, button placement, stick style etc to any which way you please.  Either way, those Koreans are using Sanwa parts which are used in Hori products.  That's only what they use at high levels anyway.  Whatever, after this frivolous debate has subsided, you still use your controller, I'll still use my Hori.

BTW, that thing in SnS was a bust.  Details on what went on later.

You'd be surprised how 80% of the people who no %^&* about what they're doing know who castel is or visit the site, and everyone else would have benefitted somehow else in the tekken world through him. Just casue somone won't come out and advertise, "here look at me I'm a zaibatsu member dosn't mean that they're not. I don't really ever tell anyone but if the ask for a site r somthing i'd tell them.Would u advertise to your lady" hey I'm taking viagra".
