now, you all know me as a man thats sick about halo....well NO F****** MORE!

halo2 to me was such a gigantic letdown, everything they displayed in trailers,demos, screenshots, ALL FOR NOTHING!

the story was out of sync, leve design seemed to be rushed, LEVEL 2 CUT SCENE WAS RIPPED RIGHT OFF OF THE E3 2003 TRAILIER, A.I is the same, story doesnt add up, ONE EARTH LEVEL!!!
ONE MC EARTH LEVEL AFTER ALL THOSE TRAILERS SHOWING EARTH AND SHOWING THAT THE EARTH AS IF IT WAS SUFFERING FROM "the goddamned apocolypse"
HALO2 TO ME SEEMED TO BE A BIG WASTE OF TIME AND SHOULD ONLY BE PLAYED FOR ITS MULTIPLAYER AND SHOULD BE RENAMED FROM HALO1:COMBAT EVOLVED TO HALO2: COMBAT ONLINE (copyright man who was kicked off of bungie forums)

halo2 single player gave me a sense that this game was made for microsoft to make some serious cash... WHICH THEY DID! WITH A GAME THAT SHOULD GET 6.5 OUT OF 10

overall i think this game should be pulled off shelves and should be shipped back to microsoft and bungie for FUXING UP SUCH A HYPED UP GAME THAT MEANT DIDDLY SQUAT!

Some aspects of the game is very dissappointing, yes. But, did you really think a game that got to this degree of anticipation would not have made you felt jibbed in one way or another. Bungie did a good job for the most part. My main beef with the game is; too many things were changed unnecessarily. and most not for the good. Great game none-the-less.

My cousin can't stop raving about this game... but then again he is in NY and on Xbox live predominantly, I guess we get an opinion on the single player now. Actually come to think about it.. another cousin of mine said it was a great game and he was playing split screen coop and deathmatch on the |Xbox... hmm I haven't played it myself but I will get it when the PC version comes out...

Actually the live gameplay of it is not as great as everyone is making it out to be. It is one of the better games to play online, but it's not like you would die if you never saw it.

The maps are way to small for a 16 player game.

On the other hand a couple are wayyy to big, but then you can use the warthog, ghost, or banshee. So it's up to you.

Something is flawed in the gameplay. I don't know if someone has a explotation code (action replay) or what, but seems that a plasma rifle can now kill you with one shot. In one of the smaller maps, my cousin's life span was about 11 secs. This is in a 10 minute match. As you can imagine, this can lead to a very stressful game, causing you to put your controller down. The capture the flag matches are alot of fun. But if you don't work as a team you will never make it. There is an option where it would be one round defensive, and the other rotation offensive. In other words, one round you capture the flag and in the other you defend the flag from the opposing team.

All in all the Live play can be either alot of fun, or a migraine. up to you.

watch out for those snipers.

lol and people wonder why matrix 2 wasnt soo hot. Shoes too big to fill COME ON if this was d game that came out 1st it woulda wowed as well

you see halo 2 did not dissapoint at all , Halo 1 was a fairly decent FPS ie. showed PC quality FPS gaming on a console , but it wasn't all THAT good ppl!
Halo II lived and died by hype , people expected something revolutionary in SOME WAY , like a half life II , but what they got was Halo I , remade with better graphics , more missions, new weps .
Hype is a terrible thing, look at enter the matrix, sold over 4 million copies, yet is the sh!tiest game in ages! or the SIMS , the developer just spends a couple thousand adding new models and a new feature, BAM! a sims expansion that makes millions more dollars .

and don't forget the expansion coming february 3rd..... might be something important .

Trini brings up a great point about Halo 1. I like halo because of the nonstop action and the weapons. but great FPS' are relly not that hard to come by, Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Turok 2 Seed of Evil. All great FPS'. As for me, I bought Matrix, because I am a great fan of the films, and I only wanted to see the extra footage. So I got the codes, unlocked the movies, then I played the game to get the feel of the storyline. It is really, a terrible game. SImply disgusting in every way! Halo 2 worked out great for MS, cause Halo2 is being sold by the Live capability, and Live is being sold by Halo2 gameplay. Lol, Very good deal for the big M.

I haven't played it yet, but i am really looking forward to. To me while game play is first, story comes second and graphics come third. Halo 2 delivered on all of those.

They brought back the very tried an true halo gameplay. If it worked why mess with it? In halo one the game play was very good and in my opinion they made the right decision with leaving most of it the same. They did how ever make additios to it. You cna now dual weild weapons wich adds a touch of new game play. They also added new weapons, new enemies and better ai in both enemy and ally alike.

In Halo 1 the story was very good since i haven't layed halo 2 yeat i can't say much on it. I have heard from many people that it does live up to halo 1.

Graphics to most people is the second most important thing next to game play. Halo 2 delivered on that. With improved graphics and new maps where there are many ways to go through one stage, talk bout replay value. The environements look extremely good and i say live up to the hype.

With good game play, good story, good graphics what more can u ask from a game?

In my opinion thus far Halo 2 lives up to the hype, but i am yet to play so until i do my opinion stays the same

Halo 2 has a different feel that Halo. I realized this comes from the momentum of the gameplay. Halo 2 is more or less 'run-stop-and-gun' as opposed to Halo which was str8 run-and-gun. It seems every level in Halo 2 is about holding down a fort and then moving to the next level. Which i think is very monotonous. Another thing I don't like is the availability of weaponry, or human weaponry for that matter. 80% of this game, you will be playing with The Convenant's guns. Unluckily for me, I hate their guns. The good ones have been tweaked, not for the better in my opinion. And they are, for the most part, simply boring and uninspired. But its not a bad game at all. Just not worth the craze.

Playing online is another hassle. Seems like there are only 2 maps in the game. which is very annoying. Everyone plays (this is CONSTANTLY) capture the flag, in Zanzibar. Oh God please make them change the stage!!!!!!!

Halo 2 is basically a great game that improves in the relevant areas it's predasessor was lacking.

it's just that with all the hype and fan fair you go in with super high expectations and the feeling after playing it is slightly disappointing because of all the hype.

great game...gameplay 9/10, graphics 8/10 and story 7/10.

have not gone Live with it yet but will in the comming weeks

Lmao, I would like to see you play Zard, you have no idea what you will be in for. I played a melee match over the weekend and my average life span was about 8 seconds. Lol. It's crazy, we were in a super small map and as soon as I respawned I would get taken out. this happend about 5 times in 10 minutes.

Halo 2 DOES get 65% on websites where the people have not been bribed... and actually have played a GOOD fps game before.

I do admit the trailers were a bit misleading etc but the game has a great story and doesnt deserve the bashing you are giving it.Everything is great and if i am to understand u ppl,u r upset and calling the story sh!tty because of some misleading trailers...hmmph

i would agree game it short but loved it all the move still.
people just got real misled by trailer but that life

i really do not like how they messed with the weaponry. What they called upgrades seem to be down grades in most cases. WHy mess with even the aesthetics of the shotty. it looked cool to begin with, not it looks whack and is weak as hell.
