Phantom of the Opera
« on: January 11, 2005, 12:53:57 PM »
So when I go Movie Towne these days I'm seeing the trailer for Phantom of the Opera. It's looking like a real wicked movie...the atmosphere, directing etc just looks very well done. What do you think of it? I think I'll definately be checking this out.

Righteousness can only be acheived by one who has good intentions and a non-biased perspective...hence the only alignment for a true paladin is neutral good and not lawful good.

This is a must see for me! :)

I just want to see if they 'overhyped' the movie though, cuz i really like how this was in its original form, it will be sad if they destroy the strengths of this movie in this way, but I hope it won't :).

They overdid the fact that it's a musical.

You know they take it to corny levels when the phantom hanging a man and singing away at the top of his lungs. I justw anted to buss out laughing at that point yes.

Other than that it wasn't bad at all though. Just overrated.

I saw it it was good. The female lead was exceptional, her male counterparts were not as strong. The set was amazing. If you are not moved by things like lonliness, love and the general human condition you may not be able to  sit through the music. If you can, the pace is fast, if you can't well c'est la vie.

Moulin Rouge was a brilliant Musical in terms of musicals in general. Phantom was satisying for me....although I cried in the end it was sad and I was pathetic. I think i have to see the play though.

I actually saw this preformed as a real Opera....and when I first heard that I had to see it, I planned to sleep through the whole thing, but when I did, I was like.....

OMFGWTF!?! IT WAS REAL FWAKING BAD!

Under all seriousness, it was really awsome, I really didn't expect it to be like that, espically seeing the orchestra playing at the same time, it was amazing. The man playing the phantom, like dissapearing on and off the stage like NOTHING, seeing the candles come out of the ground and stuff. IT WAS RHEAL BAD!
