Right...let me know when you actually get the service so I can update the list with your info.

HL2 off Steam...you'll be able to yes...just a matter of how long and whether you'd be willing to wait that out...not sure how big it is/how much you have to dl...so I can't really comment on that.

D-Link DI-604 = get the job done...don't have any experience with that particular model...but I've read some good reviews on it...
Just did the line of sight test. I'm screwed. Looks like DSL for me. I hear Lisa is offering.

Ok, I am posting this using my GreenDot connection. Sadly I am situated in an area where there is interference from other dishes, but GreenDot has assured me that they would find a way to work arround this.

Compared to TSTT what are the views?

lisa is testing DSL using what? TSTT's phone lines?

I find that a little hard to swallow.

Ask some further questions and see if it is not Wireless they are offering.

I'll try and dig up on it myself.

Yeah Lisa is wireless, they say DSL though, then when pressed further "DSL type service". Marketing spiel. They have an repeater on Laventille Hill though, so line of sight would be easier for me. However they have no time frame for implemantation.

I am unable to leak any information for the security of my job
But i can tell you this, we do have a solution on the way for people like trini.... I will be same level of efficiency and connectivity.

I would say dont waste your extra money with some business who sounds as though they are unsure of what we are doing. Thus far I have heard little if any complaints about our systems, thusly I would say wait a bit until we implement the solution. I myself do not have line of sight so when i get my connection i will inform you all.

I high speed service depends on this service pulling off thusly, it will :)

hmm
does this solution involve using a jacket like shikamaru to catch the wind and use it like a balloon to hang a reflector dish off it?

At the moment I am not sure what they are doing there but they need to fix it fast. I keep getting disconnected a lot msn, web browsing and gaming.

What is green dot doing?

wrecker just said he was getting no access to any p2p app.

Same for red devil.

Has something been done to prevent p2p apps from working altogether?

I know those would wtfpwn satellite connections by their nature but I find it strange to hear they are not working AT ALL while http and ftp seem to be fine.

Actually these programs absolutely positively kill our connection, as you NROP viewers dld ALOT OF NROP (thank god ramp not on GreenDot) :P

But actully i believe part of our testing process was to fiddle with the P2P as well as certain port usage as was the problem with shizzle.... but i believe this would be fixed in the near future when the testing period is over....

Dont worry my fellow gatters..... SWEAT on the horizon...
