okay peeps an easy way to find the place is you go down mucurapo road to the gas station and stop there, if you're on the side with the gas station look across the road there's a little side street there and a BIG BENJAMIN MOORE paint shop, right next to it, the big um...reddish coloured building is greendot. the color may not exactly be red but i'm a bit colour dumb...
hope u find it easy with the directions i gave

Yes follks sensei is back, reporting to you from the inside of the company as for everyone who doesnt know i work here now. Very pleasant atmosphere, very good service in some instances a 120Kbps download speed. As far as latency in concerned i am unsure as i am waiting to get mine at home due to some line of sight issues. But, I am sure while your ping wont be "1" it wont be "2000" either :P. Good service, 24/7  365+1(leap year) technical service and support . (We aint DELL  [_[ but then why try to achieve a companys success when you can surpass it :). We are always here :) Someone always willing to give info heck if you cant get through call me, e-mail, PM, Msn..... heck carrier pigeon and all, we answer :) any questions?

I answer them here, ask away........

No stupid questions please, like if i can pick up channel 63 with my dish [_[    I know all yuh sick men.....Kukka you too

lol

nice feedback sensei. Good to see the first of the gatt employee's making an impact already. Let's hope #2 does just as well when he starts!

The beta was supposed to have ended on Thursday so I guess it is  ok now to give some details on the latency.

From p2p, (the gaming wlan) latency times averaged 20-30ms.
From the internet they hovered just over 600ms (as expected from the satellite back end)

Download speeds have fluctuated wildly throughout the beta so I won't comment on that just yet. We should have the final cap/traffic shaping policy being applied to our connection as of today, so I'll start testing and report back  this evening.

Well lets see, desperate man like me needed a connection, I didnt dare go through a weekend with out gaming and dloading nrop (j/k) lol.

Gnereal Speed

Pretty decent, browsing was noticeably faster than my previous cable 128 speeds.

I was getting constants speed from different sources  between 50kbs and 90s in some instances.

TSTT bandwidth test gave me a 90kbps

My internet gaming

I play lineage and MMORPG and  my normal ping in l2 was like 580ish (ms)
with REEHEHEEEL lag in congested areas, so I couldnt siege and what not.

Lats night I was sieging  and talking on Teamspeak and my roomate was dloading some kickboxing drama (I found that out after) and  well, I was basically ok)

I hope it remains like this.

so far so good.

NOTICE: TSTT says the speed u'll get downloading from their servers....i got a low rating as well.....150kb/s....

this site is much better bandwidth testing site...very much acurate for me  http://testmy.net

You can also try out http://www.broadbandreports.com/ Go to the Tests section and then to the Speed Tests page...you need to have a Java Virtual Machine installed for it to work...usually very accurate ratings there...

Got a real nice measurement last time I checked...533kbits/155kbits aka download speeds of 66kbytes with up speeds of 19kbytes...not too shabby at all.

I'm supposed to be installed this afternoon. I hope living on a hill with line of sight out west will have some impact. BTW, I want to share this connection with bro on his machine, what do I need? DSL router and cable? both PCs have ethernet onboard.

San Juan. You think I can download Half-Life 2 off Steam?

I'm looking at a D-Link DI-604 4-Port Cable/DSL Router. Opinions?

Right...let me know when you actually get the service so I can update the list with your info.

HL2 off Steam...you'll be able to yes...just a matter of how long and whether you'd be willing to wait that out...not sure how big it is/how much you have to dl...so I can't really comment on that.

D-Link DI-604 = get the job done...don't have any experience with that particular model...but I've read some good reviews on it...
