Just the features and the default key-stocks make it a good player for me.

It's media library and playlist functions are a joke though.

Great for playing any media file

Not so great for managing your stash of mpgs/mp3s/movs/rm

For ultimate media management look at Cowon JetAudio Media Player 10 or Winamp 5

Those have feature rich playlist functionality.

Windows media player 10 and using the http://www.fxsound.com/ , its the best. IMO media player handles music playlists the best, well so far anyway.

But when it comes to video files, media player is probably the best. By this I mean by just playing, not sort of playlist nothing. This is mostly cause my video files are mostly .omg and stuff like that.

I really only use MPC to play media files, Winamp is good at managing in truth, but I don't need Media Player to manage playlist etc. just to work
