Go straight to 6.3.1.25

DVD Decrypter is my favourite...but I also use Nero from time to time.

Of course it is...who would ever think that a GATT member would use dvd burning software for any other purpose?

Search Amazon or another website that sells dvds, you can get the image there. Just print them out.

If you need a 1 to 1 backup...you'll need a dual layer DVD blank...then you can use DVD Decrypter or any other program to make your copy...if you're gonna go the route of using a regular 4.7GB DVDR...then you need to use DVD Shrink to size it down to fit on the media...you may need to strip out stuff like foreign languages and extras to get it to fit...

No he doesn't necessarily need a dual layer blank. Its entirely possible that the dvd9 is bigger than his dual layer blank in any case.

ah get tru! i just wanted to get the movie...
I used clonedvd and it work like ah boss... I just left out all them other languages so that it would fit...
The decrypter was pulling everything and was totaling to abot 7GB which was way to big and i did not know about the shrink one but thanks anyway! :-)... I in business

dvd decryptor was not designed to shrink it is a ripper. BUT it is entirely possible to use it to rip out just the main movie and fit. The thing about any program is that you should understand how it works so you know what it can do and what it can't.

For people who don't care to bother with anything, clonedvd is a decent choice. Pinnacle Instant Copy 7/8 is even better quality wise.

But you shouldn't ever need anything more than DVDShrink. The quality is better than clonedvd, etc.

Here is what I suggest:

1. Rip entire DVD using DVDDecryptor in ISO mode. Make sure CSS removal etc is set. !Check a Guide!

2. Load ISO using daemon tools or other image loading program.

3. Use DVDShrink on Virtual Image/DVD.

4. If movie greater than 2hrs use "smooth" option in shrink to gain some compressibility.

too much work with all those stuff.

2 good programs to use are:
any dvd
clone dvd

the first one runs in the back ground, with no icon on the task bar, when you change some settings, what is does is remove the any protection on a dvd, even css encryption that dvd x copy cant get through. you just load it and forget about it. it works with all drives and programs i.e. sonic, nero, alcohol, which means you can do a dvd copy with any of the programs of your choice.
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

clone dvd on the other hand is what i use for ripping dvds. it can rip to a folder, iso file or burn. it can shrink, remove extra features, languages etc. great program.
http://www.clonedvd.net/

so in a way it come like you have a choice of using 1 or 2 programs to copy dvds with less work.
the one program being clone dvd to rip, shrink if you have to, and burn or  rip and shrink with clone and burn with whatever program you want to.
