It is similar to AGP aperture , but much faster .  With it we now can just buy lots and lots of RAM on our systems  in the future, and have just a 256mb/512mb card playing games that would need 1gb otherwise .

well it has it drawbacks too . Flooding the pci-x bus with Information for gpu. will proberly need a 16x pci-x data stream to be worth it. This is bascially the same principal as with onboard video card sharing system memory u need fast seperate bus to make it work best . while map and texture data could be held in slower meory than gpu memory would it be worth it sacrifing system ram for it ?programs are using more ram everyday .

obviously it DOES need a Pci-X 16 bus.... all PCIX grafix cards are X16 only , it  would be more popular among OEMS like Dell...   256 or even 512 system RAM is cheaper than 128mb of high speed graphics memory .  The prices won't drop all that much but there will be big saving in the long run for Dell , alienware, HP etc.  

   The idea is... instead of 256mb of VRAM for  the next POS system , 128 , and 256 more system Ram, and a few dollars in the pocket of whatever company sells it . It will look impressive on paper too , systems using it will have alot more RAM, and so the computer illiterate will jump after it .

but like i said the 16 pci -x slots going to be rammed they need at least two for any monther board since graphics card uses one alrerady and putting memory to tranfsfere back and forth on that will clogg the bus up . system ram is alot slower than and has less bits than grapic ram but this process would most likely be used to hold texture and map data not yet need in level. overall it could reduce speed of graphic processor. this would be especially evident on syntheic benchamarks while real games might show increase.
