@Wyatt, google thatish, I'm in a training and conditioning class now, my professor has 2 PhDs and he spoke to us about creatine and other supplements. The only one he said was 'ok' was creatine and these are his words 'Creatine is proven to improve short term explosive power'
He does his research on medical and fitness publications so I have no reason to doubt him.
Your live processes the creatine you get from meat, The same way your liver processes alcohol, if you have too much in your bloodstream, it damages the liver. It's pretty obvious if you have too much creatine in your system it will damage your liver.

As for any workouts, i'd like to say this... the most effective Ab/weightloss work out is the one you're willing to do.

Some people enjoy p90x because it is structured and relatively easy to follow, Others like to be at a gym in a social environment.
Me personally I like to have a gym buddy that is more fit than me, and try to keep up with them during the sessions encourages me to push harder.

On a side note, I've been doing circuit training in this class and its kinda interesting
18 mins long,
30 seconds each station
30 seconds rest in between
1st station: Jump rope, or burpees (Jump squats)
2nd station: situps, pushups or tricep extension
3rd station: bent row
4th station: bench hops
5th station: medicine ball throw
6th station: resistance band shoulder fly or bicep curls

Depending on how hard you go, this workout has kicked my ass a good few times,

@Red Paradox, you can 'focus' on abs, but it's a good idea to give them a rest as well. I've noticed that doing isolated exercises excessively doesnt really give too much results, because lets say you wanna do biceps, you could get huge biceps by focusing on them only, but your arms would look odd cause ur triceps, traps and shoulders havent been worked on to suit.

When it comes to Abs, its a good idea to work the entire diaphragm front, side and back. It not only helps tighten up the stomach, a good core helps in every other workout.

Proper sleep has been forced on us by this professor. When you workout you get weaker(hence why you cant lift as heavy at the end than at the beginning) its when you get home and you sleep, that's when your body rebuilds, stronger and better.

that's the best damned advice I heard for the day.
Well after gyming and a sweat of battlefield bc2
I'll take a good rest.
I'll consider what you say for the abs...it sounds very logical. I guess in the end it's about having discipline, patience and goin the extra mile (safely and wisely that is)

I think next month I'll plagiarise your routine that you listed ...except I might break my nose with the jump rope

yeah sleep is very important but that almost takes care of itself once you had a serious work out. The body is tired and begs to sleep. lol

I think another key component that is often overlooked, is water.

Dareem Charles guzzles about 4 - 6 liters of water a day. Thats right, a day.

The friend I spoke about earlier says he does 6 liters.

I'm still trying to find out how they do it.

I'm lucky if I drink 1 glass

Yeah Wyatt Hydation is very important, I did forget to mention that.

My professor hs been drilling that home as well.

Research has shown that even a 1% drop in body water has notable effects on performance.
Do not wait until you're thirsty to drink by then it'll be too late.
Endurance athletes often continuously consume water during the event so as to keep hydrated. Cause they say if they dont keep drinking, they hit a 'wall' and cant perform any better.

Carry around a 2L bottle, makes you pee like a bitch but a properly hydrated body, performs much better

Red, I checked out the 'Spartacus' Routine, It was suggested by a friend. THAT is 41 minutes of interval madness, I'm plannin to try that ou when I come back to Trini and have some more free time. But try it out. I tend to get bored doing the same thing over and over.

BTW That circuit training doesnt really cover cardio so I usually do a walk/run for 20-30 mins after

and how exactly does one just carry around a 2 liter bottle of water while they mozy about?

You all have some hip flask that fits under your clothes?

As for cardio, I run from running/walking in a gym. Now THAT's boring. Could only handle cardio in the out doors yes.

Or maybe something p90-ish indoors.

Really hoping the new wave of motion gaming fills that gap.

Something addictive on the Kinect or Move.

Who say Virtual MMA ftw?

Virtual MMA you're a real clown yes]
as for the water you bring up a good point. when I'm running or doin some form of exercise i like to have my water hander especially inna big bottle. but sometimes my hand 'laziness" kicks in and you don't feel like luggin a bottle in your hand...

I remember in 1999-2001 when I was in young marines, we got these packs...called , well camel packs lol. It held a significant amount of water and it's reasonably light...you can put other nifty items in there...small towel, gloves...etc

you should look it up wyatt...rather than hold it in your hand or like u eloquently stated under ur clothes lol
