Known FX5200 Issues?

I testing a Ch@intech FX5200 for a partner, it seems its not working in his system, when he powers up, there is no signal to the monitor it just stays blank, I am testing it currently in one of my systems home and it works well sometimes and others it completely screws up the screen.

I want to know 2 things:
1. Are there any known problems with Chaintech FX5200 and MSI boards in particular the KT333 -C
2. Is there anyone that has a 5200 and it died after a year of use?

Any other additional information would be appreciated.

describe 'screws up the screen' ? does it get artifacts or does the ENTIRE thing turn into a sick mess of colours?


 it may be just a defective card......

is it getting enuf cooling? make sure the fan is working.. and if it doesn't have a fan.. the heatsink is getting some kinda airflow.

Words and entire sentences and pics get sliced up or are entirely screwed up, as for the cooling, yeah fans spinning, has a heatsink etc, I am leaning towards the card is defective, but it was working for a year now so I can't see why this happened now...

probably the card always WAS faulty.. but it needed a few months of power running through it before the problems became serious... .. alyuh using any special drivers? try using the latest www.omegacorner.com drivers.. if it shows the same bug on several different driver versions [ after you properly uninstalled them ] your card is faulty...

did you overclock it/flash the bios? a high o/c can give u the errors you described [ like 100mhz over stock ] .. i'v seen it happen to me before

i urge the mods to WAIT before u act.. it may be another account hijacking......


it may also be a hardware conflict.. did u install anytthing nu? , what do all the systems that use it have in common?

Nothing nothing and nothing, the system was never oced never modded just ran kinda hot other than that, its been the same as the day it was bought and built
