i wanna know if it's possible to get a better graphics card an stuff, like generally upgradin' a PC if it has an 'integrated main/mother board'.

an if it is possible to upgrade using the PCI slots it (the board) has...

Yes you can upgrade provided you have the slot and the video card is compatable with your MOBO. The new video card will over ride the onboard card.

Yeah,jus get a good PCI graphics card,plug it in and hook up ur moniter to it.It'll work.
My PC in a mess though.When I turn it on they saying Operating system not found and they not allowing me to format or reinstall.

if u can't get a boot disc and set it as first boot .
u can reinstall or format witht that

It's possible, but may not make sense.  

PCI video cards tend to cost a lot more than their AGP bretheren, and deliver less performance.   Also, the best PCI card I've seen have been of the GeForce 4 MX/ ATI 9200SE/ GeForce FX 5200SE class.  

It might make a little more sense to save your shekels a bit more and get a nonintegrated motherboard and seperate AGP card.  Decent boards dog cheap these days, with the cost of a new board about the price of a decent videocard.

Either sell the old integrated board or scrounge around for parts worth scavenging.  You might get enough to build a second PC that you can do experiments on.  Buy a KVM to avoid the cost of a second monitor.  That s about $100 or so.

Well, if you can't get the board sold, use it as the base to build an "office" or "Internet" PC.  those things don't need powerful videocards.

But i guess the real problem is the amt. of RAM i have rite now...cus' alota games work...smooth graphics an everyting, but they move very sluggish an slow so that could possibly be the prob... so firstly i'll look around for some DDR an hope it runs smoth enough...

Sounding like a SiS 810 without AGP slot.  maybe an embedded Duron.

I'd suggest you get a cheap mobo with AGP port, and a seperate AGP video card.  The money you'd spend on a seperate PCI video card is kinda high.

if u use the integrated grafix it will use up system ram for video.. so u will probably start using virtual memory.. and it will lag.

all u need  is a Radeon 9600SE, or 9000-9200. 256mb of ram is enuf unless u got an integ card.
how fast is ure duron?

it would help but is doesnt make sense buying sdram now.

i think you will have to bite the bullet. there are still good games to be played on such a system
starcraft, diablo1, tropico, fallout.

save up for new mobo/cpu/ram/gpu/HD

More ram would help a little, I would buy it just to get you by for a while again.

But I agree with Flippant, start saving to buy a new system, it's not worth it upgrading this one.

If $$$$$$ is a problem see if you can pick up second hand parts cheap and some new when you can every month until you can build a complete system.

Seek advice if you want before you buy anything, some seconds might not be worth it either...... with the Next Generation Games comming out !!
