Why your size increasing so though? I just program my thing to automatically remove read articles, also told it to do 100 articles per feed. So if you reading frequently, even if you don't read for the week, your size should be more than manageable. And my reader don't sync the entire article either, just the first paragraph, if I want to read d whole thing I just click it. So that way, articles I not interested in, I just mark as read and ah done. But even when I used to sync entire articles, never really had problem with size.
I just did a storage check on my windows phone. The apps taking up the most storage is games. Angry Birds Go is 1st @ 488MB, Whatsapp @ 109MB came in 7th, my newsreader is 10th @ 68MB..........

Not too sure why Trini experiencing such growth with old news feeds. I've never experienced this. What program were you using? For any news aggregator to cause such a hard storage hit on a 32gig device I say stop using that program immediately! Something wrong.

Yeah, I think it was named something really exciting like RSS Reader.
It is still on the Note 2, will verify when I get home.

OK, checked it.
RSS Demon. Storage was at 159mb. Not exactly huge in terms of bytes but that equated to 50,000+ rss entries which was probably too much for the tiny database engine to handle.
I did not have any auto delete functions enabled, so every single post was stored within the app.
Will try that google news stand and see how it goes.

lolol, yea but still.......I guess if you not archiving it explains it, but once you read an article, no need to go back, if you do. Just "star" the article, and it go be added to your stared list for important stuff. The rest getting auto-delete.

So in physically digging up in the 820 I managed to destroy it over the weekend (oops...dont ask). Another one incoming. It is a nice OS just with some glaring omissions and annoyances compared to Android that I pointed out earlier, hopefully will be fixed over time.
Final verdict as of January 2014...WP eh wah nothing with Android. Better yet I just got KK 4.4.2 on meh Z Ultra I am LOVING myself. L 820 will serve as my a capable backup phone/stand in as primary when the situation necessitates a smaller form factor device.

I feel is one of those whatsapp "images" from arcman lead to an accidental fling down stairs.

Boy it was a comedy of errors on my part. Destroyed the sim slot (don't use sim adapters) and one of the volume knobs fell off.
Anyway, got back another one and diving right back in for analysis. This time, instead of having my Android with me as a crutch if things get frustrating on WP, ive decided to roll with WP solo. Today is the first day...

Ok wow, I cant believe this is a problem I have in 2014....bookmark sync.
I was able to import all of my chrome bookmarks into IE perfectly and enable skydrive sync on the PC to back them up to cloud. Naturally, I jump on the phone looking for meh bookmarks in IE...low and behold, NO WAY to do this....
REALLLLYYYY microsoft? realllyy??? I eh even start to talk about more exotic features like session sharing between phone and pc yet. Wow. This is a big big hole.......

I still use bookmarks heavily for a variety of things. Haven't yet found anything to replace them. Luckily there's an app called Chrync on WP that syncs google bookmarks nicely.
