So....I'll just leave this here....

Looks like he going back for Watchmen visuals (brought back his usual cinematographer from his previous films) wondering what else he gonna throw in there in terms of look. Also MOS was the first DC verse film don't think it's fair to say the rest gonna have that gray film tone until we see footage. Heck this pic even looks more cleaner and brighter. Plus there was that Nolan influence before.

Get it while it's hot, from that teaser this already looks different in tone. I can see colors lol.

So it's been moved up to March 25th 2016 and they set dates for 9 other DC films all the way till 2020. So it seems they do indeed have something cooking.

And drumroll...... Bruce would be in his mid 40's, so basically Affleck is playing is own age (42). This makes a lot of sense since they're going for a more seasoned crime fighter. Also think of the possibilities, this surely has to mean the Bat family (or part of it) is already set up and fully operational

The main downside for choosing to go with an older batman is obviously how long would they be able to maintain this universe without reboot or recasting. I mean, could you imagine a solo batman film in 2022 with a 50 year old affleck looking like stallone (not saying he will look that bad, but people age yuh knw)? And unlike downey, who can be an old iron man, this is a physically taxing role. Wonder how long affleck will be able to keep up.

Other than that, I am very pumped that they did choose this route. No origin story, just a well established, seasoned batman ready to kick ass.

Lol Stallone pushing 70 though. I see what you're saying and it depends on how committing he is to the role. I like that he didn't just jump at it for the money etc. but he questioned aspects of development and then took it when he liked what he saw. Idk DC announced dates from 2016 all the way till 2020 with two movies a year starting 2016. We'll know what some of those are later this month.

I get the feeling they gonna shake up the whole cbm sequels idea somehow. Batman is the "Iron Man" of the team here too so Im thinking he can have roles in other movies too then the eventual solo Bat flicks. Another thing too is if the Bat family is involved he won't have to carry it himself which should be interesting or another scenario is we see an actual transfer of the Bat cowl to someone else (Dick maybe). Still all depends on what plans they have for Bats, we dunno if those solo's could come sooner than we think but JL is around the corner so this new Batman will have screen time. We'll see what happens as it develops.

Anyway my thoughts - this really reminds me of The Dark Knight Returns. Which is awesome! And I'm digging Afflek's Bat-voice. The use of a modulator to change his voice is a good decision.

I actually think that's just his voice in the robo suit, we'll have to wait and see. But mother of god, those shots of both Superman and Batman are impressive. Looks like these characters just stepped off the pages.
