Ping

I have just started playing dayz and normally I would connect to a server with a low ping like 60ms or so, and when I begin to play it, the ping would shoot up to 500ms and more so therefore making the game unplayable.  So I would like to know if it is the modem that is causing this or the ISP which is flow?

I am using the first modem from flow with a 15mbps connection

See if you can get a location of the server and try doing a speed test to a server in that location.
Please note that day Z is a pre-alpha game, check the forums maybe it's a bug with the game.

You need to test out more games to try and narrow it down to the connection itself.

There are lots of free shooters you can download and run.  I'm sure the majority of them *should* be able to show you your ping.

I'm willing to bet that it's a DayZ problem.

I really think its server location because when I watch it on twitchtv, players hardly lag and ping is very low
