Some of the best PlayStation games single player though, so I think it bearable without multiplayer access especially with de asking price.

Also the amount ah men I know with ps3/360 that don't have internet or worse yet don't know it could connect to the internet, local good enough for these types of people.

And 1080p is a feature of the Xbox one eh, that not exclusive to ps4.

And you wont be able to do anything online (including stream to twitch) without the day1 patch. But requiring a day-1 patch is not biggie. So no need to list that as a feature.

Honestly I don't see the point of getting any console without having multiplayer. I assume most people would want to play games online.

Trinishaq......if man buying the ps4, to play offline........ then what's the point of Netflix? or any of the other features for that matter, don't they all require an internet connection? And if u have internet, wouldn't u want to play online and pay for it? And if u don't have internet and just using the console solely for single player games, then the ps4 has no advantage over Xbox really, cause they both go be d same thing at that point.

Well it ain't different, it related.

Cause meh argument is, yUh buying ps4 and Xbox to play online. Your defense to that is, some men d'oh even have internet. So if they d'oh have it what's the point.

But anyways ill rephrase.

Anybody buying a ps4/xbox one, and has internet, will want to play online. So they go have no choice but to pay for plus/xbl . And if you have no choice but to pay for it, it don't matter to that user, what free and what ain't. Because they have to pay to play anyways.

And I think that's why consumers consented and let MS get away with murder, cause in the consumer eyes, it makes no difference, they going to pay them anyways for MP, it doesn't matter to them what else behind the paywall.

Just as I'm sure, it doenst matter to u, having already paid up till 2015, u could care less personally, what free and what ain't, cause it makes no difference to u, yUh paying anyways.

Know some of those people too! Neither console will boot if you dont do the firmware update though. Unless you wait a few months for "next batch" to come out with the firmware. However anyone playing games without doing at MINIMUM the 1.1 patch gonna have issues.
1.0 essentially means "game can run single player without crashing, no guarantees on MP" This doesn't cover stuck bugs, glitches or broken missions etc.

Ive never played a ps3 game that didn't first require some sort of patch, even for sp games like uncharted and god of war. That's one thing pissed me off bout ps3, on pc, my games always updated in the background via steam. On ps3, I used to get so angry when I felt in a gamey mode, put in the disc, only to have to wait ah hr for ah update to run, causing me to gone watch TV instead and give up on gaming for the night.

That's why all my games, whether ps4 or xbone going to be all digital. Need that background patching.

Does ps4 support that? And can I get day one AAA titles on Ps4 digitally like I can on xbone?

Ok, cause I couldn't get uncharted digital wayyyyyyyyyy after release...... that includes uncharted 1,2, 3.

Also couldn't get MK, also couldn't get ratchet and clank. Only 1 ratchet available online as of a few months ago, I had to buy d others on amazon. And I also couldn't get God of war digital.

Are you saying all of those games are now digital?
(cause on Xbox one, everything going to be digital)

lol, as much as I love Nintendo, I don't count the Wii U as next gen.

Judging from the discussion, it sounds as though PS4 wins in value if you're slumming (Not willing to pay for online play, just as before)

My PS3 did yeoman's service offline with Street Fighter, Soul Calibur and Tekken. 1000s of fights went down right in the living room. No internet required. lol

Lololol, yUh don't have to being making no set of money to afford xbl, as shown by the 48 million subscribers.....

I am not willing to pay for MP on PC in its current form. I'm willing to pay for XBL on PC.

One friends list, one chat interface, cross Xbox/pc play (cod, titan fall, etch, PC users having access to that library of gamers would be good) One subscription model, Buy game on one play anywhere, unified achievements, unified match making, press Xbox logo / home key and I see d same menus, join games the same way, all powered by the Xbox cloud with dedicated servers. Developers no longer have to write they own networking code for PCs, focus on making the game better, let MS handle networking. All of that is what we could get.... and HELL YES ill pay for that.

@Messiah yuh does try to be difficult awa? I say all Sony games was day 1 digital? For a while now most major releases have been available on release on the ps store whereas on xbox cod ghost was the first day 1 digital game.funny considering microsoft was yapping about a digital future earlier this year yet they can't provide day 1 digital.

@Shaq, ah not trying to be difficult, I really wanted to know cause I intend to buy a ps4 when uncharted and thing hit. And MS promise digital for Xbox one, ain't know anything bout 360. All I asking is, if I would be guaranteed all my games digital day one on PS4, and I asking based on my past experience, not being difficult.

Its just the game package eh...not a PS4 bundle (it SHOULD be).  That 'package' is about 85 US.

Yes all ps4 titles will be available digitally day 1, even niche games like tales of xillia were available day 1. Mostly likely they make the change in preparation for ps4

Report: Sony seeking $100 million in cuts, includes job losses

Sony has hired management consulting firm Bain & Company to identify $100 million in cuts, Bloomberg reported. The cuts would reportedly include job losses, though how the cuts to the company's costs would divide out among its entertainment divisions is unknown.

 The report follows a second quarter loss reported by Sony of ¥19.3 billion ($197 million). As of its late October financial report, the company said it expects to ship 15 million PS3 and PS4 systems combined, with SCEA boss Jack Tretton recently projecting three million PS4 consoles sold by year's end. Sony did manage to sell one million PS4 units in the system's first 24 hours on shelves; Whether that factors in to the reported job losses remains to be seen.

Poor fellers, all that fan support and they ain't making no money. They betters hope man subscribe to plus, cause they need it. (and men say Microsoft does struggle)
