Crysis 2 was great for me,started off slow, but was a decent enough shooter, but it didn't wow me like the first. What it lacked was that massive world from Crysis 1 to explore. Multiplayer was also decent enough until it became a lagfest, with hackers galore.

Have high hopes for part 3, and from what Ive played in the alpha, im pretty stoked.

As for Arcman, we welcoming you to the fight later on. Its a double Xp launch weekend as well, so should be interesting stuff.

Double XP you say? does that mean you're earning twice the amount of Xp over the weekend?

lol havent been here a while
As a firm non-fan of cod's "i see u 1st u die" style of gameplay i will say this
BO2 >>> BF3

Treyarch listens to its fans, league play alone makes this worth it, u can live stream on console without any capture software...and have picture in picture so ppl can see u while watching ur gameplay live......dmc....*tips hat*

and yes i bought BO2 that should say something as well.

BF3 has numbers (PC wise) and pretty colours but substance wise BO2 beats it hands down
havent touched zombies yet but from what my clan mates tell me its intense

PS: Best part of league play? EVERYTHING UNLOCKED NO NEED TO LVL UP AN UNLOCK ANYTHING. LEAGUE PLAY IMMC!

@ capt - when i say substance i not talking bout just content, is an emotional level yuh mite not understnad that certain games evoke from the gamer.

@arc - all opinions are subjective, but that dont mean you can dismiss it as "just an opinion" if d man say he usual hate cod but loves this particular cod, then that is an opinion that should matter to any gamer interested in the genre. And if a man who loved bad company 2 and was really looking forward to B3, excited bout it even, had a horrible expereince to d point that he run from B3, that is opinion that matter, yuh cant just dismiss cases like that as random opinion and treat it as meaningless and weightless.

Hell all video reviews online are just that, opinions, but is watching other men opinions and findings is what does lead alot of ppl to buy the product. It dont always mean ppl opinion right, sometimes it could just be blind fanboyism, but other times its a meaningful logical useful opinion, and i find alyuh men just dismissing it outa hand and reacting like men eh know wah they talking bout, they shitty and cant play fps, they use a bootleg copy, or some other snide remark that pointless.

I eh even play BO2 and alyuh have meh defending it already. I coudl very well play it and find is ah pack of shit like every other cod i play (save cod4). But i think it have men with enough experience and not biased towards cod, that comment helpfully in this thread that alyuh rel bite up.

And it's really begining to look just as berzerk said - BattlefieldRus.com

^^ My pc cant run B3 properly? :S *Yawn*

And some of the issues i had with B3 went way beyond performance, i hate the online matchmaking interface, the friends list, etc etc. plenty issues i had with it why i went running like ah mad. Too cumbersome and convoluted. I didnt revisit the game since the start, so most mite have been fixed, i dont know, but too late now, title done get skipped.

take a look. And I agree with Messiah. When people post an opinion, its pretty disrespectful to just disregard someone and chase them for posting what they believe. I don't see it as mature especially for an admin.

As Arcman rightly said its all subjective, if you don't agree, then thats great, but to tell people go where yuh come from, and tell them they talkin nonsense ain't setting the right example.

:laughing7:

So...I dipped my foot in the MP waters today...

I won't contribute anything to the 'BF3 is better than...' argument, but I will say this:
If you like CoD...you're going to love the F*** outta this one...  :)

Now granted, I've only played Free For All and Team Deathmatch thus far, but all the usual
shenanigans from past CoD titles are present and accounted for, in particular the laser-sight
accuracy regardless of range for almost any weapon, which ensures that you can kill someone
waaaaaayyyyyyy over yonder...provided that you see them 1st.  Oh yes...there's that.  Someone sees you 1st, you die.
That's something you will just have to learn to live with.  Even more so in 'Hardcore' modes.

The 'default' guns are useful enough, but yeah, you'll want to take that 'gold AK-47' from someone when you kill em,
because you'll die, and die a LOT because you don't have a reflex/ACOG sight on your weapon.  Luckily, you'll unlock
a proper sight with repeated use of a particular weapon in short order, so 'tiefing of gold AK-47s' is not mandatory, but it helps.  :laughing7:

Getting into matches is easy enough, but where's the server browser?  In 2012?  Seriously!!?  I'll leave that there.
I will admit getting into a game is much, MUCH faster than BO1.  GG.
Haven't seen any lag to speak of, but I did die some questionable deaths where I'm pretty sure I fired 1st.  Hmmm...just like last year's Black Ops.
At least this game doesn't hitch or stutter, with maximum settings...so that's a plus.

In short, I'd say it's worth your time.

Is it worth $60 US?  I can't answer that.

Is it 'near perfect'?  An ambitious claim...but only that.

*puts back on Battlefield-tinted spectacles*
Having experienced the awe, majesty, and epic scale of online warfare that is Battlefield 3 ON THE PC,
I cannot in good conscience say Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 is 'better', but then I grew up on the Battlefield model
of online fps, so that's what I prefer.  Many gamers do not prefer this, so I understand why Call Of Duty is what it is right now,
and I accept that, but there is a LOT of room for improvement.  The bar has been raised.

Still...there is a LOT to like here.

If you have a good squad, and you love all things Call Of Duty, then by all means don't walk, RUN, and get this game.

Battlefield 3, however, will remain MY 'go to game' for the foreseeable future...but I'm just one person.

Carry on.

..

Also, @arc, the "who see who first" nature of Cod never appealed to me, kinda disappointed to hear that still exists, But ill still give it a try, i'll also revisit Battlefield 3 and see if my issues i had in the begining has been ironed out, at which time i'll pick my poison.
