hey Baego, palladin here dred, i want to know i you interested in hosting a north vs south competion in yu-gi-oh. I was asking a few people if they might be interested and i getting yes all around let me know if you have interest on your end.

Baego organizes video game sweats and the like, if you wish to hold a yugioh event then as Gatt Trading Card Game (TCG) Director, I am the person you should speak to.

A north vs South sweat might be a little unbalanced, because we ahve many duelists in North. If you wish for an occassion to just duel with GATT and skilled non GATT duelists, you shoudl come to our 3rd Championship Yugioh Tournament in June. Venue is Valpark shopping plaza.....over 80 duelists attended the last event so you will indeed get a good sweat

I guess he was thinking of having something smaller at euro. Most of the west duelist are a bit younger and are a bit at a loss of a good amount of YGO sweatage on any bases much less regularly.

the only problem ('cause I wanna be there for fun)
is having a centralized location to make the event available for every one
BTW smurf I figured out that that was your position in GATT but why don't you have an admin put it as your Rank?
So more ppl would know who to contact and not leave you out of the picture

Smurf is indeed the man in charge of all things YuGiOh and he has been doing an excellent job.

I am sure the event can be pulled off Palladin. Give Yohan a holler and nail down the details. He'll keep us posted.

I understand the gatters concerns about the presence of "smallies" in the tournament...that's why we ar going to have 2 leagues - a Junior league for under 11yrs and a Senior one for 12yrs and over.

Hopefully that will even things out a bit.

it would be cool.... but it really wont be balanced... if anything we can divide all the duelist into 2 groups and have competition between those groups... that seems more plausable

There are youths out there with quite a bit of skill and could probaly
give some of the older guys some pointers

It's all about quality, not quantity!  :-P

Couple of things here.

Don't group the duellists by age, but by skill level.

That way, you get guys duelling someone at their level, more or less.  More interesting that way.

(kinda like how they classify horses in horseracing, but don't mind that)

And no cheats.

I will see what i can do, but in my experience age has always had a correlation with skill, with the older duelists (12yrs and over) easily being better than the younger ones. However, to avoid any confusion we can simple have a Senior and Junior league.

amm like you all feel south doesn't have many good duelists.
just because they do not post on GATT doesn't mean they non existant eh, i know of 1 who even managed to beat chicken.

you all have to keep in mind that it have alot of skillful people out there who do not post on GATT, in fact i'm almost certain that GATT is a minority.
alo of talent beyond these doors, those south fellas in particular have alot of skill.

I never said anything about the skill of the duelists in South, just that many of them don't come out to GATT events because of the North venue. And i cannot rate them if i don't kow them. But I made no slur on the skill .....So if u feel that they are unskilled, skilled or whatever, please do not couple yr views with mine. That's not fair.

At least some of us had the testicular fortitude to compete at the last GATT Tournament!
