Poll [1] - What platform are you playing on right now?

As the name suggests, I'm going to run a series of poles just to get an idea of what everyone is currently playing and just general trends of the gamers here on GATT.

I did post up one some time ago but didn't think the entire process through.

not really surprising for me tbh
console players locally tend not to be forum folks

u see them register and post in the respective online id thread to get more adds/ppl to play with and never see them again
always the same ppl posting in the console threads and console side of things here will never change until we find a way to get ppl involved

The forums for sure we are aware is dominated by the PC players.

Perhaps being on any sort of interaction with other people, either forums or facebook, is just not part of the characteristic of a console gamer because he/she is not on their PC most of the unlike some of us.

Some of our mods even prove that point. A lot of people also just browse the forums to read and not participate.

Getting them involved, here or even on facebook will be a task. Traditional gamers use forums i.e. those who have been around years and playing for years.. As Wyatt would say, the "young" fellas weren't exposed to the environment. All they know is facebook and twitter. I believe it will be very hard to acquaint them with such an environment in the present day. To add, if they aren't encouraged to use the forums or even visit the site, what can we do?

it is surprising to me because like Virtue said....the forums are easily entrenched with PC Gamers. There are a few console stalwarts amongst us but by and large, PC men rule this roost.

On facebook, I did not expect the results to be the same.

Unlike forums, facebook is used and populated by john doe gamer. It is not a natural environment for hard core pc gamers. In fact, most of the hard core old school types detest facebook and see it as spam central.

So for the PC platform to be winning on there is astonishing to me.

unless its an ocean of mafia wars and farmville voters, lol
