Well, Adam Orth said it best eh... #dealwithit.   :laughing7:

In other, more ominous Xbone news:  http://www.gamesthirst.com/2013/06/12/xbox-one-wont-work-the-caribbean-many-other-countries/

That has some dire implications for us here.

I hope you can still use your US Live account (with a US address) and they don't check your IP.

Good lord...the Xboning don't stop.   :(

Seriously though, this news is nothing to laugh about, it's bad, really bad, for all gamers. Whether you're a Playstation fanboy or not, it will negatively affect the industry in a serious way.

I'm pretty sure they are going to do some ip address checking just like they did with certain dlc packs. I'm feeling this has to do with their cloud computing, they need to have a server in a close proximity to lower latencies.

...but this is nothing new.  It's been done before.
What's funny is the fact that they used Nvidia GPUs...considering the Xbone's AMD guts.  :laughing7:

I'm merging it into the Xbox One thread because it's relevant to that.

Still...that 'possible RROD' info is intriguing.

Interesting read

Also, it seems things are being cleared up with regard to sharing games, as it appears you will be allowed to have 10 people within your "family" group share your entire game library, no matter where they are and on their own Xbox One, as long as they are part of your "family" which is a loose term that can refer to your Live friends.

This part makes some solid sense and will have an impact on multiplayer action (my greatest concern)

Quote

The cloud servers, Zampalla said, are "dedicated servers so there’s no host advantage. The game spins up fast." No host system has to be bogged down with that grunt AI. "When that’s handled on the cloud, now it’s the same experience, it’s not lagging for you. If I’m the host, and I’m calculating AI on my box or if we’re both calculating AI on our boxes and we have different things..." That wouldn't be good. The cloud helps. To Titanfall's busy multiplayer design, perhaps it's essential.

I now finish watch that video, epic, family members business is truly epic. I can see many gatt members taking full advantage of that, lol.

All d men who want to lend they game, no need to send off your disc to anyone, family group, done!

As gamers this actually going to save us plenty money, a lot more money in savings than we making selling back used games for gunta price.

This sounds quite brilliant and all, but what's the deal with region lock? it all still pointless unless we can actually play the thing in d Caribbean lol.

I believe that currently, if you check region availability for Xbox 360, Trinidad and Tobago is not on that list, yet, there are people in Trinidad gaming on Xbox live everyday on Xbox 360.

I would think that this would also be the case for the Xbox One, as region lock on the 360 applies to content, such as DLC which may be locked depending on the game developer restrictions, which as of now, people in Trinidad get around by the use of VPN's. Also applies to what content is available on services like Netflix, where I believe Trinidad gets access to Venezuelan content as opposed to US content, but again, some people get around that with VPN's, depends on how desperate they are for the US content.

I think if we wait and see, more and more info will be clarified up till launch, and then there is Wyatt (AKA Guinea PIG) who will be testing out the Xbox One and giving his report...LOL

What he doesn't know is that we expect a 50 page thesis on the Xbox One when he gets it, with full illustrations and Index. LMAO...
