I dunno bout you but I have been waiting for a futuristic Battlefield game (a la 2142) since forever!

Modern Era warfare is getting old.

Bring back the Mecha action!

I think the timing is right as we are seeing something of a SciFi renaissance in Hollywood as well.

Agreed.
Personally the closer to actual reality it is, the less interested I am.
Scifi / Fantasy for my gaming fix. (Uncharted and Bad Company 2 being 2 of those rare exceptions)

And I've been waiting for a serious mech resurgence for a while. I am going to bury many hrs into this title.
