Well sorta, many popular sites will go down in protest against SOPA legislation...
http://freakoutnation.com/2012/01/16/viva-la-revolucion-the-interwebz-is-shutting-down-for-12-hours/On January 18 the House Oversight Committee will be holding a hearing on the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), and on that day you might notice that some of your favorite sites will be going dark in protest: this is a sample of what the internet could potentially be like after SOPA. In addition to the sites mentioned below, activists across the Internet from Reddit, Digg, Twitter and Facebook are remaining silent for 12 hours in protest.
In opposition to this censorship bill, Reddit, The Cheezeburger’s network, Boing Boing, Wikipedia (for 24 hours),Major League Gaming, Nuts and Dolts, Destructoid, Piccano, The social Spew network as well as FreakOutNation among others will be going dark. Also going dark, my friends at Anonymous, using the Twitter hashtags, #J18 and #SOPAblackout.
