ok to add to the water cooling vybe, let me point you to this thread :http://www.carigamers.com/cms/forums/index.php/topic,26340.0.html

and raise you these thoughts/experiences:

so it had been a successful 3months on this kit with added 240rad and 6990 block on the single 750ln pump/reservoir from the rasa 240 kit and i must say that it has been a great experience, however, the as5 thermalpaste is starting to look bad in these cases where high end cooling is needed. i would recommend the ic diamond paste for this high end application, as well as extreme situations.

the barbs the kit comes with i must mention are great, it is sure to provide a leak free loop once installed in the way mentioned ( online tutorials ).

the cpu block is amazing and so is the rad. now xspc has 2 types of rads. included in kits, the RS and RX.
rs is a thinner rad with the need for higher cfm fans, while the rx is thicker and require moderate to high ( if preferred fans ). i have the RS and it works great to cool the cpu along side a koolance rad before the 6990's block.

time for the tubing... NO! it is cheap, no other way to describe it. not friendly around bends and has been said over and over on forums they tend to even change colour ( whitish ) after a short period of time depending on heat and use. so i ordered some Primoflex and wow...great tubing.

i recommend using an additive ( friendly one is the Swiftek HydrX ) to keep those lil build ups and algae out of the loop.

any questions feel free to ask!

oh did i mention my pc is like REALLLLYYYY silent now?

damn

What sort of liquid is used(or you use) in the kit?Is it water or prepackaged solution?

Other than silence, what are the benefits of this kit over other solutions? What were your temp differences like?

What is the price of the standard kit compared to the solution you created?

Just a few questions. Not going into water cooling myself just yet, but it's nice to know when someone does a "review/experience sharing" :P

I used 4 bottles of blue waters and swiftek hydrx solution

i can only compare to the h100 and h70 which by far it cuts their a$$ ! over 10c difference!

What is the price of the standard kit compared to the solution you created?

the standard kit is 130US, my kit cost me around 400US

thanks!

Last few things then, for anyone considering this setup or LC in general:

Scale of 1-10-
Satisfaction with temperatures?

The price/performance ratio of the XSPC setup by itself and with your mods?

Tech level required to setup and not fail?

Sounded almost like an interview there hmmm. No matter, i'm sure i'm not the only one interested.

10

The block alone for the Radeon 6990 was approx. 170US, with the temperatures I am getting ( 42c load on a fully OCed 6990) I am thoroughly satisfied! As for the kit by itself, HARD O/C has the regular kit on a system and it seems to be performing up there as it should.

Tech level required to setup and not fail?

Just the regular knowledge of the basics, and the ABILITY TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS.

There are ppl who would want to know, but wont ask, so why not you? LOL
