Since you've forced me to properly explain myself:

No, the second stick of Vengeance - the freaking heat spreader came unstuck from the RAM module at some point during install/removal- and mysteriously some weeks later is now dead.

That one parked up till I decide to RMA it.

The heat spreader of the Vengeance is of poor construction quality imho, and given the limited space I have to install RAM, I not going thru that headache (taking off CPU fan just to install RAM?), and risking killing off my other stick.

In short - less hassle to install RAM with properly made short heat spreaders than with poorly made tall heat spreaders.
