Heads up on Rule no.4 for marvel vs capcom 3. The correct and official rule is "Winner cannot change characters, Assists and Character order."

Thanks Fermin. Will look into. I personally don't know if that's how our Tournament Directors set it or if it was an error.

Fermin, could you send us a link to where you saw that as the "official" rule? That would be most helpful!

well as a live stream viewer for fighting game events, that format is the most recent rule used. But i should not have called it "official".  The link above states the "official" rule for evo which is used a lot. It isnt much different from what i explain except the changing of character assist order. It doesnt mean choosing 2 new characters. All this allows is to a have decision for your 2nd character to go 3rd (with the same assist ability)

Great, our rule set was adopted from Evo. Thanks for clarifying the interpretation of the rule.

So we should update the rules to read as below?

TOURNAMENT RULES:
Double Elimination
2/3 Matches, 3/5 Grand Finals
Double Blind Pick available
Winner cannot change their main character but can change their other 2 characters.
Winner cannot change their characters but can change the order of their assists
Loser can change all characters
BYOC allowed (Controllers/Joysticks only)
